Mayock is irritating me. Every fucking time a guy is picked, he blurts out “He’s a really good football player”. Just shut up.

It's like they got a directive not to seriously criticize any player or pick. I can't recall anything negative said except on guys with blatant character red flags or medical issues. They prop every other pick up like it's some steal.

Definitely not the guys I would have looked at. They are not bad players and/or reaches though.

Stanford has developed some really solid TEs lately and Shaw says he is the most complete.

Coming from Stanford, you know he's no dummy and he can block. I like this pick a lot. He'll contribute in the run game immediately, and while he wasn't used much as a receiver he has soft hands. I think he was only targeted something like 30 times last year, but had zero drops. Definitely has some tools to work with.

Last year we were manhandled in the middle on run defense too many times. So far in this draft nothing is being done about it.

They absolutely need to get a DT.

The DE was a little underwhelming, but a decent player. I would have preferred a safety or DT. But I loved taking the TE Schultz.
