Guess the change up pitch doesn’t work in football like it does baseball.

The real problem is not in the front office, it's with the philosophy the coaching staff (presumably Garrett) has with WR's and their very "inside the box" thinking.

It seems they basically only consider two types of WR's; either a 6-2/200+ "outside" type, or a slot type, and never the two shall meet.

Not sure why we don't at least go for the 6'4" types if we want height. Or the 4.4 forty types if we go small. But instead we draft the small guys who can't crack a 4.55 forty and our big slow guys are never taller than 6'2".

Of course we don't draft many WRs either

I think the tough talk he is referring to is the comments by the Cowboys that he needs to prove himself before they give him a long term deal.
