Of course I am not defending it. I hate it. I just think I get why and how they lie about it.Are you seriously defending this pick?
Up is down, left is right, and booze is Jiggy.

I've also read where he was rated in the 5th or 6th. I've also read where he's rated in the 3rd or 4th. So who do we believe? Not one of those ratings were an actual team's rating. Those were written by self proclaimed draft experts. Or some guy hired by a site to pump out draft stuff. They're nothing more than a guide for fans to follow. I'd sure hate to find out that an NFL team was basing their ratings off of them.Every single thing I have read about him had him 5th and later, so a lot of opinions saying that.
He very well could have been and I can see why they think he is. He's another physical freak who can play multiple positions that is targeted to take over on the right side for a player that has 2 years left, tops. So, you think Green was BPA. Noted.
Who rated him as a 3rd or 4th? I have to say I must have missed it.I've also read where he was rated in the 5th or 6th. I've also read where he's rated in the 3rd or 4th.
Dallas?Who rated him as a 3rd or 4th? I have to say I must have missed it.
I haven't seen those reports outside of some pundits saying that he might have gone higher had he not been so injury prone.I've also read where he was rated in the 5th or 6th. I don't remember where I saw it. But if you look above, VA even said he saw where Brugler said Green might have been a 2nd or 3rd on talent alone, if not for the injuries. If you take ten people and have them rate players, you'll get ten different ratings.Who rated him as a 3rd or 4th? I have to say I must have missed it.
Yeah, we will see.He very well could have been and I can see why they think he is. He's another physical freak who can play multiple positions that is targeted to take over on the right side for a player that has 2 years left, tops.
Not only do I see the skills they see, but I applaud the effort and insight to take a player that could keep a dominant unit moving forward.
But, Brugler didn't rate him as a 2nd or 3rd because of his injury history.I don't remember where I saw it. But if you look above, VA even said he saw where Brugler said Green might have been a 2nd or 3rd on talent alone, if not for the injuries. Yeah that's basically what I've heard about the pick as well. 2nd or 3rd round talent who got knocked down due to the injury history. Guess Jerry saw the X-Rays.The knock on Green is that he has a history of injuries which has kept him from living up to his potential. I believe it was Brugler that said if he had a clean history he'd be a 2nd-3rd rounder, but due to his track record he and many others listed him in the 5th-6th. We're gambling on his potential rather than his track record.
That's the biggest reason this pick doesn't bother me. People scream and holler when we let holes develop and react too late. Then scream and holler when they try to be proactive, screaming about 'swing tackle'. Well, yeah. That's what he'll be until they are ready for him to take over. I'm not saying that he's a shoe in for taking over, but at least they are looking ahead to replace Free. Or maybe even Leary. I've seen where Green might kick inside, and Leary and his knees are a FA after next year. Not only do I see the skills they see, but I applaud the effort and insight to take a player that could keep a dominant unit moving forward.
Yeah, and he could be just like Sean Lee.That's the biggest reason this pick doesn't bother me. People scream and holler when we let holes develop and react too late. Oh no.Yeah, and he could be just like Sean Lee.
Just not as talented.
Yeah the problem is there are different types of injury concerns. Clemmings for example may have an injury right now. Ajayi may have a degenerative condition.Ajayi and Clemmings dropped, and rightfully so, based on injury issues. Green went higher than anticipated though despite an injury history.
Being proactive is great, but not if it involves taking gambles on injured players higher than should likely be taken. An occasional gamble now and then is fine, but we seem to be making it a primary strategy. The odds they all work out isn't likely.
There are dozens of players rated where they are in public opinion because of injury history.I don't remember where I saw it. But if you look above, VA even said he saw where Brugler said Green might have been a 2nd or 3rd on talent alone, if not for the injuries. Glad to have you back, you had some legitimate gripes but you went there a couple of times. There are dozens of players rated where they are in public opinion because of injury history.
And of course you have variance between perception.
But if you go off what we do know as laymen, it is a "reach".
I will admit readily I emotionally react to picks and a lot of it has to do that I study the draft intently, but eventually it becomes like stages of grief.
Already been through denial, anger, bargaining and eventually acceptance.
I have worked my way past the Byron Jones thing, now I am working on the linebacker horseshit.
Ajayi was called out as degenerative. We know that. .Yeah the problem is there are different types of injury concerns. Clemmings for example may have an injury right now. Ajayi may have a degenerative condition.
Green on the other hand as far as I know is healthy right now. He has just been hurt a lot over his career.
