    2022 Season | Week 1 | Gameday Chatter Thread | Bucs @ Cowboys | 9/11/2022

Really? Look, my aunt lives in Mobile. It's no big deal. It's not like I've achieved even cousin Oliver status with this family friendly Brady Bunch. So as an uninvited outsider who was just looking to add another opinion, I'll see myself out and won't intrude again. Peace be with you.

Yeah, I was messenger shamed for repeating info from a Broaddus tweet concerning his possibility of being a healthy scratch. Sall good, shared my personal observations on the kid as I saw him play in person several times last year. I don't think I was too far off quite honestly. Time will tell.

Sturm - Cowboys lose QB1 and doom arrives early this year: The Morning After

My NFL path to success is achieved with an excellent GM, HC and QB1. Not a big fan of how any of these title holders in Dallas are doing their jobs. And this surely ain't just a last night thing. Groundhog Day continues.

    Bucs Stuff....

Exactly. Meritocracy. Seems I heard that somewhere before. Hell, Bland's got a pretty strong case for being ahead of Joseph and Wright if you ask me. But what the hell do I know, I thought the Florida kid outperformed Dowdle as well.

    Bucs Stuff....

He might be the next Jerry Rice for all I know. What the Twitter verse rumor is sounding like right now is that an undrafted free agent will be rewarded the snaps that should have been his based on draft pedigree. But we won't know for sure until they announce the inactives.

    Bucs Stuff....

Neither has/had any particular traits that jumped off the film at you. There wasn't any particular suddenness in movement in and out of breaks or precision route running overall. Hands above average and more finesse than physical. I live in Pensacola, he played next door in Mobile, AL and I...

    Bucs Stuff....

Some WR evaluator prescription lenses see a hopeful Gallup type trajectory in the kid. I'm more a Crayton-esque type ceiling that's all. No biggie.

    Bucs Stuff....

Yep, you and I had earlier discussion about our doubts and this kid. Not a good sign imo if you're a 3rd rd draftee healthy scratch in the first actual game whose place you lost to a UDFA (Houston) is what some have reportedly speculated.

Sturm: Cowboys’ critical year begins with problems that require solutions - Decoding Kellen Moore

If this new found identity is anything closely resembling the offense of last year's first 6 to 7 games or gosh forbid, a 2016 copycat, I'm all for that. Not sure if the right personnel or coaches are in place to pull it off though.

Sturm: Cowboys’ critical year begins with problems that require solutions - Decoding Kellen Moore

McGovern failed in replacing Williams last year so hopefully he's improved. I wish Tyler had been kept at guard as he flashed moments of impressive power at guard but now in switching back out to LT there will be the learning curve/growing pains to be expected. Personally I would take the 2 game...

Sturm: Cowboys’ critical year begins with problems that require solutions - Decoding Kellen Moore

I think the losses of Tyron, Collins, and maybe even Williams for continuity's sake is being overlooked here. While this year's preseason OL appeared to be run blocking better I am still skeptical of their performance until proven otherwise against starters. I can see how Fergy's addition may...

    DCC Appreciation Thread...

Mark this under general shout out and compliment to Booze and all others on this site. It's like an episode of Bluebloods here with Booze as acting Police commisioner(Selleck) and the whole family dynamic as you all trade barbs with shared history. My high school had classes broke down into...

    2022 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread

Yep, you're right. Comparable to Jerry's absolute comfort level of just being relevant ie .500ish, while his PR/marketing does it's convincing of the masses that the product is better than it actually is. Spot on.

    2022 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread

It's almost like Jerry's Cowboys Model defies all principles of the economics class we took in high school. How to profit tenfold based off the supply and demand successes of an inferior, or even failed product. And continue that exponential profit increase infinitely. It has become it's own...

Machota: 15 Cowboys’ takeaways - KaVontae Turpin’s huge night, backup QB battle and more

Unless my eyes have been deceiving me, my basic couch GM primer still reads needs at swing tackle, WR2 and kicker(regardless of the latest Lirim whatshisname release). I'll pretty much stick to that until the regular season version of these current positional placeholders prove worthy of...

Machota: Cowboys’ draft-and-develop plan can work, but they appear at least one move short

I think the Brandon Carr experiment caused a whole different philosophical change in FA acquisition. Up until then, risk/reward contract opportunities were taken with genuine impactful free agents. They changed their whole way of business post-Carr contract to has beens and hospital ward cases...
