I think we probably should've taken Harmon but Booker is going to be a Pro Bowler somewhere along the line. And if we had gone DT it would've been Nolen anyway.

He's going to move people in the run game, just in a power based scheme than the zone stuff we ran for years. It might take him a few games to figure out how to play against NFL strength though.

I agree with pretty much all of this, Mazi looks like our 5th-6th best DT at this point and should probably just be cut. To me Osa/Thomas/Toia/Winfrey are all better than him right now.

Booker was fine considering the offense was a shit show overall, ravid is just going to be pissy for the next 5 years about not taking Harmon.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if that was some of the thinking, especially this year when week 1 will arguably be our toughest game of the year plus all the Parsons nonsense.

Yea I can't tell if playing Bass there is with the idea of getting rid of Hoffman, or if they're confident in Hoffman and this is them giving Bass a last chance to make the roster by showing increased versatility. Either way I think one of them might be gone.

Random Thoughts: -Milton is so bad it's hard to gauge anything offensively, even when he makes plays they feel forced and random, there's no rhythm whatsoever. -I'd still argue that having a shitty backup right now is a good thing, if Dak misses meaningful time I don't want some competent yet...

If the player is Rashan Gary or Devonte Wyatt I'd consider it, although I'd need another 2 or 3 thrown in.

That OL deserved at least a SB appearance, they were just as good as the Eagles groups of the last few years but...Jason Garrett. And Jones of course.

Obviously I'd like a much better RB situation but one of our best teams of the last 20ish years was the 2023 team with a very so-so Tony Pollard coming off an injury and barely anything else.

I might be singing a different tune if we're 5-2 and Dak is set to miss 3 games, but if that happens we can figure it out then. If he has another early season injury that knocks him out for the year we need to lose as much as possible.

Ideally I'd like our number 2 to be terrible given the current state of things, if Dak misses significant time I'd rather tank and win 5 games (with a chance at a franchise QB in the draft) than have someone like Rush drag us to a few extra wins.

Fisher is full of shit but theoretically it'd be a no-brainer to trade Tolbert for Hall. Both will be free agents next year, Tolbert is very unlikely to come back, and Hall is better than any of our current RB's. I also wouldn't be shocked to see Tolbert basically splitting time with Turpin.

Barkley missing a few games could tank their season a bit. Their offense last year was very up and down, especially when Barkley was kept in check, and there were many games where they were mostly stuck in the mud and relied on Barkley popping a random 60-yard TD late to break open a close...

Going into the Super Bowl last year (so the first 3 games of the playoffs) Hurts had 505 yards passing and 3 passing TD's, and Barkley had 442 rushing yards and 5 TD's. That sort of split is completely unheard of.

Are these things you've heard people say or that you make up in your head? Kelce is obviously an HOF center and Barkley, when healthy (big if), is an elite RB.
