NOT Every

that would be 32 starting qbs making 40+ thats for every top quality frontline starter get the market money.. top 10 typically ..
Market value doesn't mean just pay them all at the top of the scale. It means their VALUE in the current pay scale, in accordance to their performance and future promise.

And it's pretty clear that Dak's performance and considering he's still young and improving, his future promise aligns with the top end of the pay scale. Most quarterbacks don't fit that, and are paid accordingly. Hence... market value.

Tom Brady willingly sacrificed some money to allow the Patriots to sign higher quality teammates
Brady took into consideration what his team needed to win it wasn't all about him.

Brady also has a wife making about a gazillion dollars and doesn't really need the money. Makes it a little easier to back off on contract demands, I'd say.
Think........most successful franchise in NFL history had a QB who needed need all that $$$$$$$$.

So what did you want to happen? Let Dak walk because another team absolutely would have gave him what we did if not more and then we're forced to having to draft another qb in a weak qb class?

You are missing the point, why did Dak think he warranted that kind of $$$$$$, he wasn't on that Brady/Mahommes/Rodgers/Wilson level.

He absolutely is playing at that level this year.

Compare what Russell Wilson did his first six seasons compared to Dak.

Just wait a year, or even better, two. He'll look like a bargain then.

Who makes the most money in the NFL 2021?

Image result for highest paid 5 nfl qbs 2021
NFL's highest-paid players 2021
  • Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs. Annual salary: $45 million. ...
  • Josh Allen, QB, Bills. Annual salary: $43 million. ...
  • Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys. Annual salary: $40 million. ...
  • Deshaun Watson, QB, Texans. Annual salary: $39 million. ...
  • Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks.
What has Dak done to deserve to be there, well?
You realize Watson and Allen haven't won either?

This is how the market works.

At the time, I didn't love that Dak squeezed every red cent out of the cap.

You better damn well win, and play well doing it.

Well...we are 4-1 and he's playing like a top 5 QB.

No complaints from me.

Dude, he was certainly playing a lot better than you're carrying on about in this thread.

You're proving me wrong on my initial endorsement. Dude.
So you see him on a par with Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers who have all won SB's?

When Dak asked for that $$$$$ what had he done to warrant that request, yep.....nothing.

Not a fan of Allen/Watson and that $$$$ either.

@Iamtdg, after further reflection upon the subject, I think this guy was maybe right. We should sort and categorize things a bit better around here.

Could you assign a jr. mod to moving all threads started by this guy into one thread for ease of use? Maybe name the thread, Don't Bother.

Would love that, play some music, talk some track, rasslin', literature, some NFL, some Cowboys, MMA, boxing.

Hell, teach an NFL history class.

Cool with me.

I can see you aren't aware of how many think Dak was paid too much.
