This was a $20M retirement gift for Tyson... any other even halfway decent professional boxer would've finished Mike by the 3rd. I'll give Tyson this, the way he's built, he's always been extremely difficult to get a solid hit on (and those gigantic gloves made it more so).

I think it's funny how Netflix is bragging about how they had millions of streams and yet of all those millions of viewers, I'm guessing that maybe 10% or less of them actually got to watch it uninterrupted.
That's a prime example of why I've always said that I don't believe that streaming should ever be the primary medium for broadcasting live sporting events. It should be an alternative, but not the only medium for broadcasting because it's too unreliable.

Totally agree.
What I don't get is, how does this happen with a company like Netflix? This isn't some startup. And isn't it just a matter of server space and bandwidth? They have the money to do that, so did they genuinely underestimate the demand or were they just cheap?

Also, this wasn't the first time Netflix had significant buffering issues during the streaming of a live event.
I wonder why they seem to always have issues but other services like Amazon, Paramount, and Peacock seem to be able to stream live games and events without all the bugs.

That's a valid point for the Paul/Tyson fight.....but like I said, Netflix has had issues in the past with live events.
Given their track record, it's almost a given that their NFL game on Christmas will have significant buffering issues that you don't see with Peacock and Amazon games.
