I think they vastly underestimate how much apathy is going to set in. They seem to actually think fans will buy their bullshit. But this time they may have gone too far.
Next we just need some brave media person to ask about the theory that they want to invest less into the team payroll because they get higher ROI on other ventures. But I guess no one will do that.

What I don't understand is, what is their excuse for being by far the lowest-spending team in the league?
The only thing that makes sense to me is if they don't intend to pay Dak and want to eat the entire cap hit this year. Obviously they wouldn't want to say that out loud and cause a firestorm.
But other than that, what is their excuse, no matter how lame? Did they even say?
