but to blame the QB for the GB debacle is almost laughable.
I'd blame them both. I don't think you can absolve the QB just because the defense also sucked.

I was just about to say the same thing. Injuries have held him back more than any potentially poor play.
I’d bet we see him a ton this preseason. To either decide if he is someone we want to keep as a starter, or feature for trade.
Yep.Without a doubt, the defense played poorly but Dak wasn't exactly inspiring a lot of confidence. He had the deer-in-the-headlights look from the jump and if we noticed it, it's a safe bet his teammates noticed it as well. We were down 27-0 late in the 2nd quarter so all of his stats came when the game was already out of reach.

The Packers defensive game plan definitely confused the offense and was a big part of the offense slow start. But offenses should be allowed to start slow and still win games. If the game is already over in the 2nd quarter then that tells you all you need to know about how the defense played.Without a doubt, the defense played poorly but Dak wasn't exactly inspiring a lot of confidence. I've been way more embarrassed by a loss before. The Packers defensive game plan definitely confused the offense and was a big part of the offense slow start. The job of the defense is to keep you in the game. For all we know the defense could have blown what otherwise might have been one of the biggest comebacks on NFL history. 400 yards and 3 TD's in a little over one half is nothing to ignore. But then again the defense gave up 3 straight TD drives to open up the 2nd half.
The packers loss to me might have been the most embarrassing Cowboys loss I have EVER witnessed.
On Booze's part.

Which one was more embarrassing?I've been way more embarrassed by a loss before.
These days, shitshow performances like this year's playoff loss don't even surprise me, much less embarrass me.
Exactly. Playing like shit for the first 1-3 quarters of a game and then putting up garbage time stats when the defenses get soft because they know there aren't enough possessions available for us to come back doesn't mean a fucking thing. It is definitely something to ignore. He compiles stats like this frequently. The Green Bay defense, clearly, throttled down in the 2nd half. Game was over at halftime, I could give a shit how many tds they gave up after that.
Only the game wasnt over at halftime. 27-7 is not over by any stretch. If the defense shuts them out or holds them to even 10 point in the 2nd half we can win that game.It is definitely something to ignore. He compiles stats like this frequently. How many quarters? Always the exaggerations. The offense got going at the end of the 2nd quarter. Lets call it 1.5 quarters.Exactly. Problem was the defense came out in the 2nd half and gave up 3 straight TD drives to the packers.
It was only over looking back. And it was over because the defense couldnt stop packers the entire game.

I was way more embarrassed after the playoff loss to the 49ers in Switzer's first year. That entire situation was as embarrassing as it could get for a Cowboys fan imo. Superstar HC and talent evaluator that single handedly pulled the Cowboys out of their worst years thrown aside like garbage because the dumbfuck cunt of an owner couldn't find a way to live with him. Then replaced with a shitheel bumkin more in the mold of Jerry himself.Only the game wasnt over at halftime. 27-7 is not over by any stretch. Well we havent won the SB in what 30 years and we have had many QB's during that time. So at some point your going to figure out that the real problem is Jerry, not the QB.Anyone watching that game, knew it was over by halftime. Clearly, you still believe in him as a franchise qb. I do not. We've been having this discussion for about half a decade now. You come to the conclusion he isn't the one, eventually. You can dissect the stats all you want but he has a habit of shitting the bed in big games. You don't pay $50 million/year for that. I didn't want to pay him $40 mill.
I would definitely rank that one as the hardest loss to get over in my life. No doubt. But the Niners were a great great team and there was no shame losing to them. Not to mention it was a very close game in the end.I was way more embarrassed after the playoff loss to the 49ers in Switzer's first year. I think the Cowboys win 4 Super Bowls in a row if the dyed in the wool hillbilly dumbfuck just sits the fuck down like a good cunt of an owner and signs the fucking checks and stays in the fucking background where he belonged.

Im just not one of these fans that blames everything on the QB. Its a team game. And the QB more than any other position relies on the play of others around him to be able to do his job to the best of his abilities.
Teams would be lucky to have two top 10 QB's over the past 18 years. Thats what Jerry has had and we havent sniffed the NFCC.
That's not a QB problem, that's a GM problem.
The QB's job is to run offense and the passing game. Thats all the guy can do. He cant catch the ball, he cant block, he cant run the ball and he doenst play defense. And he definitely doenst coach.
I am well aware of a large part of the fan base that blames the QB for everything. Im not one of those. Football is much more complicated then that. And Im certainly not a guy that is going to hate our QB because he isnt as good as Mahomes.
Now if you say that Dak isnt good enough to win a championship with Jerry as the GM then I am right there with you. I actually have doubts that Jerry could win with a guy like Mahomes even.
Now personally I wouldnt pay ANY QB 40-60 million per year. NONE of them are worth it.
Parsons had zero sacks in the Packers game. You going to pay him 30 million?
The entire team shat the bed against the packers. Do you want to get rid of just Dak or the entire team?
I agree he isnt elite. Elite for me is top 5.And I'm saying it's possible we have a shitty owner/gm AND we are paying a qb elite money who is just a fringe top 10 guy. I'm not a big fan of throwing good money after bad. I'm not blaming "everything" on him. I did mention the defense played poorly. But I am blaming his shitty performance on him. We have a large sample supporting he is not an elite qb. How much more evidence do you need? I don't give af how long it takes to find another qb, I am not content to remain in Wild Card purgatory just so a couple of hillbillies can continue to pad their bank account and keep the fans believing this is the year.
