Is he going to lose a bunch of weight to get back to where he was when we drafted him?
It was sort of jokingly but I think under Zimmer he is a DE as opposed to what he was under Quinn. I know he got up to 285 at one point but he is more of a 269ish type player. He isn't going to win you anything as a pass rusher. He can probably hold up as a run stopper though.

I did actually like him at first. Wish they hadn't bulked him up so much, but I bet at 270-275 he'd be fine as a Zimmer DE.

We need someone else with more juice, though.

Someone solid is going to be there at 24, Barton is at least 50/50 unless someone like Latham falls.

Alt, Olu, Fuaga, Latham, Fautanu, Barton, Mims is 7 OL, that'd be damn near 1/3rd of the first 23 picks and seems unlikely when you know that at least 4 QBs will go, 3 WRs, 1 TE, a handful of DL, etc.

Teams are viewing him as a capable starter at C, G or T. Given that extra bit of flexibility puts him over a similar G/T. There are also rumbling about Powers-Johnson having a bad hip. If true, that makes him go even higher.
the ever popular position flex.

Yeah, I don't disagree but I don't think you're going to easily find that in this draft. Oddly enough I feel like we need to replace Fowler more than Armstrong. Armstrong was more of a base end that could get to the QB on stunts and stuff. I think guys like Fehoko and Golston can do that to a lesser extent. Fowler was more of a guy who could create a pass rush all on his own. He was very much a pass rusher specialist. He would be beaten like a red headed step child if teams ran at him. But that's what we are sort of missing in the rotation. It may make people cringe, but we kind of need a Randy Gregory type.

I just don't think this draft has many of those types. Braswell maybe? I'm assuming guys like Latu, Verse and Turner will be gone by our pick. I'm not a fan of Chop Robinson but I guess he could be a bit of that, run fast, be explosive DE.

WHat's the odds that if a nice OL starts to drop that someone trades up in front of Dallas to take them? Super obvious transparent what we are looking for in this draft.

Nonsense. Jerry never tips his hand. :rolleyes

I'll be shocked if it's anything but a DT, C or OT.

Not likely because of the depth. If it was a thin class?

Besides, teams do that and are wrong all the time. Remember last year when the Bills jumped us for Kincaid? We were supposedly dead set on a TE? Yet we were never taking Kincaid. Complete fabrication. And in hindsight TE wasn't even close to our biggest need. It was also a stupid deep TE class.

Wouldn't shock me if the Cowboys this year said, with the depth on the Oline we can wait until the second. Just hope that doesn't lead to a retarded Schoonmaker type pick in the second.

Except for Diggs, the Cowboys recent second round hx is littered with retarded picks.

I know which sucks because I love the second round. I honestly think if I were picking players I'd want as many second round picks as possible. I think it's a great spot to draft starters. Yet the Cowboys struggle there.

They take way too many risks in 2nd.

Players with shitty injury histories and players with character concerns. None of whom have seemed to work out except for maybe Sean Lee when he could get on the field.

I think that's where the most value is concentrated year to year.

I just noticed that people have started calling Caleb Williams LGBTQB1 ( :lol ) because he was recently spotted wearing pink fingernail polish, while holding a pink phone, and wearing pink lip gloss at a basketball game. (see below tweet)

There's also the GQ fashion shoot of him wearing a dress......which actually seems to be the trend for a lot of these younger athletes and Hollywood types.

Chicago's a blue collar, meat and potatoes town who accepted similar traits displayed by Rodman. But that was basketball. The NFL is a completely different animal when it comes to that stuff. It's going to be interesting to see how he's received by the fan base. It's pretty much a given that rival fan bases will be using this as ammunition.
