I would hope these dumbasses could at least keep their lips tight if something like that is coming down. You want to get trade raped, leak the news you want Hopkins ahead of time.
It would also help if the mediots wouldn't ask the question. Fans as well need to quit pressuring the media through tweets. Sad that we need to go to this extent but with Jerry you never know how much he will give up.

Yeah I mean that's the other part of it. I'm certainly not saying anything is imminent. I doubt that anything is. I just hope we aren't loading up for a bunch of Cooper Rush/Fowler 3-4 mil a year signings. Save that money, let some young guys come up and fill those roles and use the money on one really good player instead.

Downs? Not really a true deep threat, not like a DeSean Jackson.

More of a screen guy, get the ball to him in space and he'll make 11 guys miss. He's elusive more than pure speed.

Still, we have no one like that, all our guys are long striders or lumberers. Good route runner too, in that sense, reminds me of Amari Cooper, ie, his footwork will get him open at the goal line.

It's true we don't have anyone like him. But I'm not sure we have anyone worth shit outside of Lamb so I don't know that it means much. But yeah, I'm not saying I hate Downs. He just doesn't do it for me as a high second round receiver. But yeah, I think he could be a Cole Beasley level slot receiver. His shallow crossing routes are pretty good. I agree with you that I think he does run good routes. He looks really small when you watch him. 5'9" 171 at the combine. So he isn't a shorter guy with a RB build or anything. He looks small because he actually is really small. Which is ok, I like Zay Flowers better. But ultimately they are both in that same size range so I wouldn't write a guy off for being small.

I could see Downs being a very good #2 WR.

I'm always looking for the skills to be a #1, but I certainly could see a scenario where Downs is our BPA in the second.

I think Downs will go in the second. But I would probably have him a little lower on my WR rankings than others. Not like I would view the guy as someone I don't want. I know I'll probably offend some people but I don't know if I like Downs better than Jayden Reed for example. Those guys are a lot closer to each other in my opinion than most would acknowledge. If Reed played at North Carolina he probably would have had killer stats too.

I've got some different opinions on guys in this draft class though. I very much like Hyatt. I've come around on Tillman. AT Perry is a guy who I view as a real sleeper in this draft. I think he is big and his speed and explosiveness are being slept on a bit. Not bad for a guy who is 6'3" 1/2.

Charlie Jones and Mims are a couple more middle round guys who I could see being very good NFL receivers.

I'm glad to see guys putting in work. Tolbert especially needs the extra work. But also good to see Ferg there because I think he is about to become one of Dak's favorite targets.
Where is Hendershot is a better question.

Yeah, I assumed Ferg and Hendershot were attached at the hips. He should be there too. Frankly Gallup needs to get his ass out there and put in some work too. His lazy ass route running was no helpful to our teams success. I'll give Lamb a pass because he actually looks great even though I'd love to see him and Dak continue building chemistry.
