Very true, and they'll likely pick up a few guys in FA.

Probably about 5 or so Olawales at various positions of need. Then the roster will be set
If Olawale ate himself into a 330 NT run stuffer I'd be ok with that. We aren't getting a stud DT, but certainly a big body could be had cheap.

And yes WR is easily our biggest need. There are free agent options. There are trade options. Honestly it should be a big priority in the draft regardless. But I don't think any WRs outside of the draft are taking a bottom barrel contract.

Can't even make a simple personnel announcement without grabbing some cash.

Since this FA period is all about defense, hows about getting one big fat dude?

Khalen Saunders got 3/14.5, that's less per year than what LVE got and his cap hit is only around $3M, we could save about $2.5M by cutting Gallimore, you do the math.

For the best, I don't feel sentimental at all, now we should have upwards of $15-16M in cap space with potentially over 20 depending on what happens with Tyron.
Yeah, I still think keeping Tyron is the wrong move. I wish we would move on and find a top notch guard. But at least I get Tyron. He is still capable when healthy. I'm just not sure he is a better LT than Tyler. And than of course you only have Tyron at LT for part of the season.

If Steele were 100% they probably would cut him.

They said Steele will be ready for camp!!!! Which realistically he should be. His injury happened early enough in the season and he doesn't play a speed position like WR or corner where it takes some additional time for elite explosion. He is an O-lineman. But I'm skeptical with the Cowboys positivity on injuries in general.
