I would like to see Turpin try and fail instead of ad nauseum plodding Zeke, no effort to try Malik and that assinine asinine failed final play.
There. :unsure

Bottom line you win with star players.

We lost because our best, Pollard, got hurt, and Lamb didn't have enough help.

Joe Burrow used Chase, Mixon, and Higgins to rape the Bills in their own stadium all with a patchwork OL. Purdy has Kittle, McCaffery, and Samuel. Hurts has Brown, Smith, Sanders, and a monster OL.

Players win games, we wore down, pure and simple.

OFFENSE:
  • Lamb -- CHECK
  • Pollard needs to return at full speed-- RE-SIGN
  • Zeke and Schultz are not elite CUT
  • Dak, we are stuck-- RESTRUCTURE. His 49 million needs to be pushed into future years if we are to have a shot in 2023
Free agency
  • Sign a TE with a catch radius who wins one-one battles, Hayden Hurst would be a beast with Dak.
  • Sign a reliable every down RB with some jets, Josh Jacobs would be an excellent addition
Draft
  • Draft the best WR we can in round 2, trade up as many as ten spots if needed
DEFENSE

Free Agency
  • Sign Dalvin Tomlinson. Just do it Jerry
  • Resign both Donovan Wilson and Kearse if possible, but we are deep here, honestly
Draft
  • BPA front seven
  • Corner depth

Losing Pollard was a bigger blow than I think most want to admit because of how Dak played. We were on track to score two TD's in the first half until Pollard broke his leg with Dak throwing arguably the worst INT of his career on the very next play.

Does he do that if Pollard is still in there? Who knows, but we were like 2-3 plays away from a two TD first half when Pollard went down and that would've honestly far exceeded my expectations.

On track for 28 points (pending Maher dumbassery) on the road against probably the best defense in the league? That's excellent.

Like you said, Pollard and Lamb are our only two true playmakers on offense and losing Pollard was exacerbated by the fact that we basically can't have a functional running game without him with Elliott as broken down as he is.

Completely unrelated, there's no chance that we'd be able to sign Josh Jacobs while also retaining Pollard, that's just nonsense.

As nonsense as paying Zeke 90 million to play second to Pollard?

Pollard as c-rock pointed out might be easier to resign as as result of his injury (two years in a row with lower leg/foot injuries)

Lamb went for 100 yards in that game with a shit QB and a dumbass OC.

That to me was the icing on the cake of what was a very good season for him.

I'm convinced now that he can be a legit #1.

One of the best developments of the year IMO.

You were saying......
You are using totals for each and this doesn’t give an accurate parity of individual performances because Elliot has a longer tenure and that skews a comparison. If you want to use this approach then you would need to extrapolate averages to equal time played. Also the visual approach clearly shows that Murray was faster and more effective on the perimeter than Elliot. They way Dallas gets Elliot on the parameter is usually with a passing play but with Murray he could turn the corner with a pitch.

Elliott got that extension when Pollard was a rookie.

Even if we can re-sign Pollard cheaper than we could have, we're still looking at about $8M/year, you want to turn around and give Jacobs $10-$12M/year?

He led the league in rushing last year and is going to get at least $10/year.

He is still going to be held back if we trot crap out there with him. And yes, this includes Gallup.

Nope just draft someone. I would like Pollard to pair with whoever we draft but short term. One or two year deal. By the end of that deal I'll hopefully have another seasoned RB and then can draft a speedy guy to pair him with.

I see people are starting to call for the banning of "hip drop tackles" like the one Pollard got hurt on.
