Yeah I mean there are only 2 years left on his deal. I take this time to try and bring in a QB coach that can try to help him. If it doesn't turn around get a young QB to develop now. Doesn't have to be in the first.

Not sure who that QB is in this draft but I'm at least looking at guys the way we did the year we drafted Dak.
Yea I'd still like to see him in a offense that has no ties to Garrett so I'd love it if we got rid of Moore, but if an opportunity presents itself this year or next, you go for it.

At the time of Pollard’s injury, We were on the verge of getting Purdy out of his comfort zone and on the ropes. Defense has stymied them into 3 real points.

A FG or TD with <30 sec left and we take a lead into halftime getting the ball back. Score after half and potentially up 10 pts to put Niners in uncomfortable catch up mode.

Then the INT and insert ~Dennis Green quote~

Yeah it’s a canned response from Dak all the time now. “I’m going to get better”. “This is going to motivate me”. “It’s not going to happen again, I’m working to get better step by step”.

Hey Dak-go fuck yourself. And take that old useless fuck of a fake GM with you.
Yeah, he said it again last night, apparently.

"We'll learn from this"

Fuck you, Dak.

First of all, take accountability for how poorly you played. Don't give us this general "we" bullshit.

YOU need to learn from last night, not the team.

Secondly, how much do you need to "learn"? How many times are you going to fuck up, choke, and play like shit and keep making the same mistakes before you "learn" not to do it anymore?

Nothing pisses me off more in sports than a lack of accountability and I'm tired of hearing the same old BS from Dak.

And how bout Diggs closing his damn eyes and going into a frikkin cocoon instead of breaking up or even intercepting that immaculate Kittle reception?
That was disgraceful. Diggs could have either had the pick or blindsided Kittle. That was one of the worst chicken-shit plays I've ever seen in an NFL game. Deon made some chicken-shit plays, but his upside outweighed some of that.

It's the Garrett school of avoiding accountability. "We'll look at the tapes, learn from it, and get better."

The second INT was the real killer and completely unacceptable, he lost vision of the CB sitting in a zone (or never even saw him) and tried to jam the ball in for what, a 3 yard gain?

No excuse whatsoever for that and it was the culmination of all his bad habits (locking in on his pet WR, losing sight of underneath coverage, not properly taking risk/reward into account, favoring short easy throws).

That play cost us the game more than any other for sure.
See, and that right there is why I have no hope for him now.

He had just gained a big chunk of yards on a scramble to put us in that position, and it's those types of plays with his legs that usually settle him down.

Then Pollard gets 8 yards on 1st down.

It's 2nd and 2, roughly 1:30 to play, you're already in scoring position, and ALL the momentum is on your side.

If he can get rattled in THAT situation, then there's no hope for the guy because you can't ask for a more ideal set of conditions to play in than that one.

I said it last night and unfortunately, I was right -- that ultimately ended up being the difference in the game.

If we score there, especially if it's a TD, I think we win that game.

We had them EXACTLY where we wanted them and the QB gave them life and then some.

Yea, it's stuff like this that has driven so many Cowboys fans to the edge.

Like it's completely logical to be optimistic going into next year. If you take QB out of the equation San Francisco probably has the best roster in the league and we more or less otuplayed them on the road for a large portion of the game.

The roster is mostly young, we should be very good next year.

But on the flip side, Dak threw quite possibly the worst INT of his career in that spot and completely sunk our momentum with things going our way.

Then you factor in the "27 years" and all that and everything is just completely bipolar with this team.

Some teams like the Lions or Dolphins haven't been in a NFCC or AFCC in forever but they also never make the playoffs so it is what it is. This team has (and is) good enough to give you hope but ultimately they fail to deliver for one reason or another.

An NFL record 12 playoff appearances without a conference championship appearance sums that up perfectly.

his response has worn hollow. He's got nothing of substance to offer, and so come the platitudes.

Yea up until that point he was playing really well for the most part, the 4th down conversion with his legs was huge, then he made a mistake that you wouldn't even expect from a 2nd year player to completely swing the game.

8 months ago I pointed out how they were putting together a great roster but most Cowboys fans are so blinded by their hate of the Eagles that they refused to acknowledge that what the Eagles were doing is what other recent Super Bowl winners have been doing. That method is going all in to maximize your window of opportunity.

They filled their roster weak spots with proven veterans while the Cowboys chose to roll the dice with unproven rookies. It sure would have been nice to have a proven 3rd WR out there instead of watching Tolbert ride the inactive list practically from wire to wire.

It is what it is. They won't change their approach because the fans and Dallas media never demand more.
Well they do go all-in on free agency and trades, but they also are willing to trade their own guys when they win the deals.

We have to be more willing to trade our guys when we win the value exchange. And we need to be looking for those opportunities as the Eagles obviously do. They seek out those teams desperate to overpay for something and are happy to provide it for the overpayment. It's a long term value model and it's smart.

We also need to be willing to say no when the trade is shit, ALA Cooper.

Interesting the statistic quoted by what's-his-name, the color guy. How if you examine Dak's interception totals in the context of when he was under pressure, he ranks in the lower tier of NFL QBs.

You think they will change their approach? I worry that the fans and media cant. Even getting rid of Garrett almost made Jerry double down. Fans and media have the opposite affect on these shitbirds.

If he just protects the ball last night we win that game by 10 points.

If he had played really well, we probably win by 17.

We were significantly better than the 49ers for 2.5 quarters but we never got up because of the QB.

He spotted them 3, then was responsible for a 10 point swing on his 2nd pick, then badly underthrows CD on what should have been a 90-something yard TD, then the miss to Gallup.

And that's not even counting all of the bad reads he made throughout the day.

Again, just getting competent QB play yesterday would have resulted in a win.
Yup.

He played like the worst QB in the playoffs yesterday. Including Daniel Jones.

Obviously excepting the ones who were starting due to injury like Skylar Thompson.

Its time for the Jones to admit that Dak cant take us to the Promised Land. And the contract is not supported by Daks performance.
Seven years is the body of work, and its not gonna happen with him the helm. It just wont. So lets try taking a page from the team that keeps beating us in the playoffs each year and move on from this dead end.
