Your thoughts towards the cornerback position are taken with a very large grain of salt.

No offense, but you have history.
Just a guess but... less important than punters?

I have not found snap counts, but it is pretty clear, this was a game where we have Barr and Vander Esch as the LBers.

Maybe that changes for the 49ers, we will see.

Clark was not involved that much. And that is okay. The fact that he has even played this year and not been another Jaylon Smith-type exposure is a plus.

Vander Esch played like he was Urlacher or something. A lot of him dropping in coverage and he did a great job.
I hope McCaffrey gets a big dose of LVE.

Don't get me started on Zeke. I was against paying him. RBs are simple. Should have ran him hard for 5 years and moved on.

Not so sure on Lawrence. I still think he is a pretty important piece. Even if the sacks aren't all there. Again, what did the Seahawks get in the end for Frank Clark? Fucking Collier at DE? 3 career sacks. When you trade the stud for a chance to replace him, it's a bad strategy.
I am 100% against trading DLaw. We have bitched all damn year about how bad our run defense is and we trade away our absolute best run defender on the line? Yeah, no.

Well…. It’s very similar for corners. Not wise to overpay them.

Lawrence is a “nice” player but not anything close to a $100m player. The last four years he’s had 5, 6, 3, and 6 sacks. That’s like Dante Fowler off the scrap heap production as a pass rusher.

Our pass rush was great this year to guys like Parsons, and other young kids coming on like Odigizuwa and Sam Williams. Lawrence could be replaced for far less money, or you could get a much better player for his $100m.
I think you vastly understate the impact Lawrence has on this defense.

I would take another LVE and Odigizuwa over Lawrence at $100m. He made a pro bowl on name recognition. I would argue that LVE and Odigizuwa are just as important to our defense as Lawrence.

He’s a good player but at that money he is a detriment.
You think Osa is just as important to our defense as DLaw, or are you saying you think Osa and LVE combined equal the importance of Lawrence to this defense? Because there is a huge difference.

Yeah, I agree that he's not a 100 million dollar player but he's a very good all around DE and his motor never stops.

He gives the exact kind of effort that you want everyone to give and he's had a really good season.

I have zero gripes with that guy.

I don’t think I’ve been this excited about a game since the Super Bowls. Just something about San Francisco. I also love the way the team is coming into this one.
Yeah same here.

It's been a really long time since I've looked forward to a game this much.

I've got a good feeling about this one.
