If that's your logic, that body punches to the liver in boxing don't make sense either because the response is typically delayed by the recipient.

The human body is a very fascinating thing.
Apples and oranges. A liver shot isn't even close to the same thing as a hit that supposedly stops your heart. If you get hit so hard your heart stops you don't just stand up.

NFL owners aren't going to give up that revenue from a home game. And the networks are paying for 18 week, not 17.

So I don't see any way the games aren't played.

I don't see how they resume that game last night, though.
It's going to be very interesting to see what they do because unless they finish the game tomorrow they're either going to have to declare it a draw, forfeit by Buffalo, or straight up just cancel it and only have Cincy/Buffalo play 16 games.

Otherwise they're going to start eating into/altering the playoff schedule because there's no way these teams can play 3 games between this Thursday and Monday the 16th.

If he had died, I could easily envision that, but it looks like full steam ahead.

I kind of bet they just call it a tie and move on. I bet both teams would accept not a win, but not a loss either.

Cardiac arrest is basically just the electrical impulses in your heart going haywire.

My uncle a few years back had a sudden, massive heart attack. No warning whatsoever. When it hit, he jumped to his feet, took about 5-6 steps across the room and then collapsed. So yeah…. I think the dude could have stood up for a second before falling.

My point is, I don't think the hit caused it. That has been my point all along. I'll wait for more facts before I die on this hill.

Just handing KC home field probably isn't great for Buffalo but I think they'll deal with it under these circumstances.

From all I’ve heard, I think that’s exactly what caused it.

Now, there might have been extenuating circumstances, such as a heart defect or whatever, but I think that shot at the exact time is what triggered it. Just a very unfortunate, long shot.

Yep, that's why this is so tricky. Nobody wants to look insensitive, but there are real stakes here. I suspect they err on the side of sensitivity, though.

He barely even got hit. I don't believe it.

What's really sad is if it really was myocarditis or some other shit caused by the vaccine we will never know it.

I wondered about a delayed reaction.

Right, that's what I've been reading as well.

Don’t shit yourself, that was a pretty decent shot.

And it doesn’t take a sledgehammer hit to cause this.
Exactly.

Again, it's funny how watching football on TV has created this impression that some of the collisions aren't that powerful.

Just because a guy doesn't go flying 5 yard down the field doesn't mean that these collisions aren't impactful.
