Yeah, I'm not sure what Turpin has done to deserve any recognition. Outside of the preseason he hasn't been special.

Turpin I thought was very good during the first half of the season and broke quite a few long returns, but he hasn't done shit at all in the 2nd half of the season.

Goes to show you that it's been a down year for return men as a whole if he made the pro bowl.

He's leading the NFC in punt return average by a healthy margin, and most returners don't do both punts and kickoffs anymore. So yes, it's justified.

TURPINTIME!

People are going to change their tune about him when he returns a kick for a TD during the flag football game.

Hopefully this doesn't significantly increase Pollard's asking price.

He deserves whatever someone will be willing to pay.

We'll need DT, DE, RB, and speed on offense next year.
They're going to resign him, no way they keep Elliott who is on his last legs and let Pollard walk.

It would be stupid to let Pollard go, but then again his asking price might be astronomical. We've been burned there before...

He's not going to be here long term.

Get a CB and a DT in the offseason, get some help at WR, and ideally get rid of fucking Kellen Moore already, and we can make a run next year as well so for that reason, I would tag Pollard so he's here next season.

But I'm not paying big money to a RB anymore so I think he's gone after 2023.

The tag would be an interesting choice, it'd likely piss Pollard off pretty good but whatever.

As long as we let Schultz go we could easily give Pollard something like 4 years/40 million.

This assumes that Elliot takes a pay cut or is released.

That's what I think will happen. Isn't RB about the lowest tag? You know Stephen will love that.

We're gonna pay a RB big money again? Some people never learn.
There's plenty of RB's getting paid and still producing relative to their salary, especially those who didn't take a heavy pounding over their first few years. We just so happened to overpay a guy a year early who took a massive workload from day 1.

Exactly. DGAF how many yards he ends up with, I'm not giving a 2nd contract to a rb.

He'll live.

What's he going to do? Sit out the season?

Not with his salary, he's not.

Tag his ass and then try to draft a replacement in one of the next 2 drafts.

The best RB in the league at the moment is on a second contract - 3/36, just have to be diligent and not overpay. A short term contract like that but for less per season would make lots of sense for Pollard.

Yeah, they're just too easy to find now.

Plus, these guys aren't built like RBs of the past that played at a high level for 5, 6, or 7 years etc.

For whatever reason, most of these RBs give you 3 top years then that's it.

As much as I love Pollard, unless he's willing to take a 8 mill a year at best, I let him walk.
