...for refusing to put seatbelt on? I thought it was because he didn't want to get off the plane.
Either way it was a dick move on his part. He completely screwed up everyone else's travel plans. Because of the delay he caused, the other passengers had to scramble to get rebooked onto different connecting flights. And being that it's one of the busiest travel days of the year, it wouldn't surprise me if a good number of them had to hang out at the airport for several hours due to flights being full.

It's not the worst thing in the world be he does come off looking spoiled and entitled.

Beckham's side of the story:

Davillier has an entirely different story, saying instead that Beckham was sleeping and did eventually fasten his seat belt.
"Odell Beckham Jr. boarded a morning flight in Miami without any problems," Davillier began in a lengthy statement to NFL Network. "The flight was delayed after boarding and prior to take off. Mr. Beckham fell asleep with his blanket over his head, which is his normal practice for long flights. He was [awakened] and told that the plane was back at the gate and that he needed to get off the plane because he did not put his seatbelt on when asked. He responded that he was asleep, and that he would put his seatbelt on at that time. He was informed that it was too late, and that either he would have to get off the plane or everyone would have to deplane.

"The overzealous flight attendant insisted on removing everyone from the plane instead of simply allowing Mr. Beckham to fasten his seatbelt and proceed with the flight. At [no] time was Mr. Beckham disruptive or combative. He was willing to comply with the seatbelt requirement, but the flight attendant wanted to prove that he had the authority to have Mr. Beckham removed from the flight. The airline proceeded to send Mr. Beckham’s luggage to Los Angeles without him.
"That incident was unnecessary. Sleeping on a plane should not be a cause for removal from a flight. If they could wake him up when the flight returned to the gate, then they could have done the same thing to ask him to put on his seatbelt."

Yeah, sounds like a flight attendant got too big for his britches.

Just the kind of guy you want in the locker room when you're trying to stay focused and minimize distractions.

Of course, when the owner of the team is nothing but an ongoing distraction, maybe it won't matter. Certainly hasn't made much of a difference for 26 years.

Beckham hasn’t been much of a problem for teams the last few years. Certainly didn’t seem to cause any distractions last year for the rams.
If he is a distraction, then it is more on our own star players than it is on him. They are the ones who have been banging a gong for him.

Yeah the only guy who might suffer is Noah Brown. He might not be in on the signing. But who cares.
Well Noah Brown is still on the “still kinda sucks” end of the talent spectrum.

That's when a HC who really is a HC shuts down all the bullshit and says let's keep our eyes on the prize motherfuckers. Do your jobs and don't be involving yourself in personnel decisions. It's not what you get paid for and no one gives a shit what you think.
