Wait, what? I am 100% against this shit, but if this does happen, they need to file their student loan papers and have them paid that way. If they are receiving the money directly, this is exactly what will happen.

Anybody that still has unpaid debt on their student loans and received the money from the government for it should be prosecuted for fraud and theft if it shows that the money was not used as intended.

And beyond that, I know a friend of a friend maxed out his student loans -- even though he didn't need to because he went to a local commuter college -- then used the extra money for an expensive car, vacations, etc. I didn't even know such a thing was possible until then.

So a decent portion of those initial loans was probably wasted on the clothes, vacations, drugs/alcohol, etc in the first place. And now the money to forgive that wasted money owed will also be used for those things.

To be fair, I think it is more "what will they do with the money they don't have to spend on student loans". Regardless, this shit is unconstitutional.

Plus, well over half the media (including social media) wouldn't even report on it -- or would "fact check" it as false -- so half the country plus many independents would either never know it happened or would believe the other party was just making it up.
