I didn't hear it so maybe I'm interpreting what you're saying wrong, but it sounds to me like McCarthy at least has had input.

It doesn't come across in text, but it sounded to me like he'd been in coaching meetings all morning and just met at the end with JSW so they could let him know which QBs they'd been working on.

Yeah, I would bet good money the decision to not play the starters any in preseason was not on McCarthy. He talked about how he'd never done this practice with other teams thing instead of playing in real games, and the Joneses have always been big on health over all.

Steve better be real careful he doesn't come off as just an asshole with all the bad qualities of his deddy and none of the semi-likable ones. Which is pretty much what he really is.

I wrote about this before. When Jerry is not able to do anything but dribble at the mouth, Stephen will be front and center. He’s not likeable, and he doesn’t have the AW-geez huckster PT Barnum gift that really sucks in the homers. You know, the ones that pack the stands cause Ol Jer says 1+1 = 3 and boy oh boy we got us a TEAM boys!!!
Stephen is NOT that guy. I truly believe we will see the first true mutiny when he takes over.
