I'm still amazed how these vet star WRs are going for high draft picks. You really gotta give Jerry and crew credit for the 5th rounder we got for ours. If not for all their hard work and unreadable poker faces, we may have got a 7th rounder or even nothing.

i looked back at the second round. We took an edge rusher, so discounting those there were 7 WR, 6 DB, 1 TE, 2 RB, 1 C, and 1 DT taken ahead of us. Based off of our visits and operations, the safe bet is a WR we wanted went or McBride was considered in round 2.
Moore was suggesting live that we'd have taken Moore and maybe even McBride if they'd been there in round 2. Crazy they both went right ahead of us.

I really like Williams but I liked Moore much more than Tolbert, from what I've seen.

I think I have a thing against short WRs. If you are under 5'10" I really have a hard time getting excited. Skyy Moore is 5'9".

The guy went to the Chiefs who did a lot with a short WR they just traded away. Skyy Moore could have no better opportunity than the Chiefs. But I think I'm happier with Tolbert. I like a big guy who can play inside or outside.

Tolbert is just okay to me. He resembles Wilson with how smooth he is.

There isn't a lot left worthy of the round though.

Winfrey, Woolen, Beavers, John Ridgeway, Jojo Domann are pretty much my targets.

I would also take Damone Clark and redshirt him.
Clark would be nice but I think more in the 5th than 4th.

There were a few targets in round 2 that we would have taken if Williams was gone. Tolbert was one. Paschal DE from Kentucky. I think I prefer Williams and Tolbert to any of the other combos.

Paschal was gone already I think. He went 46 to the Lions. That's why I thought Stephen was talking about the Western Kentucky pass rusher who went in the third to the Falcons. Malone is a pretty good pass rusher.

Wait, I actually like our 3rd round pick. Tolbert is going to be very good at the next level.

Now, to read through the rest of the thread. I missed you guys.

Couldnt quite remember if he went before or after. Just know that he was high on their list because it was a name I dont remember reading about with the Cowboys.

If he didn't have a neck fashion the fourth would be totally good. But that injury makes him a total flier to me. I'd roll the dice with a redshirt in the fifth but I think there are too many good players left in the fourth for that risk.

I don't know if Sam Williams was as much a draft for need

Absolutely a need.

Funny how this off-season our biggest losses were DE, T, and WR...and that's exactly what we took in the first 3 rounds.

It's a dangerous game to play.

It's also infuriating that these were self inflicted wounds. So now all we're doing is scrambling just to get back to the same level of talent we were at 2 months ago, at the expense of actually improving.

I would rather have had Lloyd. Very rich to take the LBer there, but I like the player better.
I'd have taken Lloyd over Smith although the OL situation could've been bad. Raimann could've been the pick at 56, or maybe you get Marquis Hayes here late, but the pickings would've been very slim with guys like Ingram and Ezeudu going earlier than expected.

In hindsight I'd take Smith/Williams over Lloyd/Raimann.

Malone and Ebiteke in Atlanta are going to be a good pair. In fact, I think the Falcons killed it with what they had.

London, Ebikete, Troy Andersen, Desmond Ridder and Malone. Very nice.

Yeah I love Lloyd the player. I don't love him being a LBer. Probably would have been best available to me. But at some point you have to focus on things besides LBers.

I guarantee you, those morons cheering these picks now on TV haven't even heard of these players being picked now.
I absolutely hate fans like that. They have no clue what it means to be truly invested in a team.

Oh, BTW, sorry about leaving early last night. :unsure
