If he’s available at 24, do you pass based on his bench rep count?
I wouldn't, because it's kind of a dumb test for football players. But it would raise a little red flag as far as his effort and preparation level, so I'd want to double check with his coaches and the S&C coach about that.

Meh, Green has 34+ inch arms, OL with crazy long arms sometimes disappoint on the bench. The guys who throw up 40 reps are always little short stubby guys who bounce it off their chest.

For comparison, guys like Mekhi Becton and Tristan Wirfs only put up 23 and 24 reps respectively. Andrew Thomas put up 21, Joel Bitonio put up 22 and I'm sure there are plenty of other high-level/high-selection OL who were in the same low-20's range.

It's basically a non-factor.

Thaaaat's kinda nice

I'd be shocked if we didn't go OL in the 1st, I'm not even sure who could somewhat plausibly drop in a "Lamb"-type sense that would make us go elsewhere.

Maybe Karlaftis or Lloyd? Maybe they have a top 10ish grade on a particular WR?

I guess depends what they think of Burks and Olave. Obviously we are looking at them for a reason.

I'm not sure that either lasts until our pick anyway. The good news is I'm confident that Green or Zion will be there at 24. If both were gone I'm not sure what kind of a panic pick the Cowboys might make. Hell he talks about Parsons but that was basically his backup option. At least they didn't force a corner anyway in the first I guess.

That's what concerns me. If nothing else, it sounds like he doesn't spend much time in the weight room. I would think that's very important for linemen.

Yeah, their definitely seems to be a knowledge with the coaches at least that this draft class is ultra important because we basically screwed ourselves in free agency. They know they need to nail this thing to have a shot at being good next year.

No Moore? Interesting. I guess the Alabama WR's won't be working out so probably not all that important. But there are definitely defenders at Alabama worth looking at.
Josh Jobe has long arms.

Mathis could be one of our bounty of fifths.
I doubt he lasts that long but I do think there will be plenty of good players available in the fifth and you never know. Jobe is more likely to be there in the fifth though. And even though I think this draft will have plenty of good fourth/fifth round players, I won't be shocked when the Cowboys get all cute and ignore them and start taking pet cats that never work out instead.

I'll bet he's gone before the 5th rolls around.
To me Mathis is a third rounder. Wouldn't be shocked to see him in the second round. I think he is more than just a strict 1 tech so I don't think he will fall too far in this DT class. I think it's fair to say he is around the seventh best DT in this draft. To me that puts him in the third round. He is below the Davis, Wyatt, Jones, Winfrey and Hall group. You sort of than have Mathis. I skipped Leal because I have no idea what is happening with him. I'd bet he is in that group above Mathis but there seems to be more distaste for him than I think there should be.

I'm all over Uwazurike as a pet cat though. Everything seems to show him going in that fifth round range and I'm not sure why. 6'6" 316 pounds, athletic and what 9 sacks last year? I'm not sure why he isn't higher on lists. But if that dude is there in the fifth, I'm jumping all over it.

I see Jeffers going around the 4th-5th range. Ezukanma most likely goes undrafted. Possibly 5th-7th. Who knows?
