He most certainly is, not nearly enough giddy up. It's kind of comical to watch.
Where did his speed go?

It’s literally like watching 2 different RBs now.

He took to much contact and his legs aren't what they used to be as a result. That's my only explanation. He also doesn't shed tackles like at all anymore. He has good forward lean but he rarely breaks a tackle.

As far as the entertaining part most of us grew up in a time where the defense was just as entertaining as the flashy plays. We need to get back to that. Hell, I bet all of us looked forward to seeing Parsons play. I know its wishful thinking now but that's what I prefer
That was when the D was allowed to hit...

Clearly he’s been injured. It’s obvious the difference post Carolina.

Question is how much of it he recovers, if any.

Emmitt played injured in 1996 and 1997, and it took until 1998 before he truly recovered.

He was a generational talent, though. I'll bet Zeke never comes close to hitting 1k again.

delicious...all those years of getting the Packer treatment.

Cheers to him getting a taste of it without being the golden boy.

I mean the guy has 1 Superbowl despite a long career and some great teams. It's gotta be the vacc.
Brings up an interesting topic of discussion. The Patriots and Tom Brady have changed perceptions, but is having one Super Bowl a disappointment for all-time great QBs that excludes a QB from the top tier?

Rodgers is an interesting case because he doesn’t even have a second SB appearance, just like Brees and Marino.

Sports radio was already talking about Mahomes and the Chiefs being a disappointment with only one SB ring. Question was asked what happens if Mahomes never returns to the Super Bowl and the guy answers ‘he’d be Aaron Rodgers’ like it was a bad thing.

Maybe I’m a Rodgers-homer, but critiquing his one SB ring seems over critical. I don’t think he’s had as great a surrounding cast as other all-time greats. Not to go all @L.T. Fan on you all, but winning a SB is much more of a team effort.

I don’t have any theories or answers here and take this with a grain of salt, here are Championship Game appearances by QB:

14 - Brady
6 - Staubach, Young, Montana, Elway, Bradshaw
5 - Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Peyton, McNabb, Favre, Kelly, Stabler
4 - Mahomes, Aikman
3 - Marino, Warner, Brees, among others
  • Bart Starr has 2 official appearances, but six if you include pre-SB era League Championship games

I can’t stand Rodgers, but outside of him having Adams and an older Nelson as his go to WR, he hasn’t had a dynamic cast around him since the mid-2000’s outside of the SB season. Adams, Driver, and Nelson? He had Jennings, Driver, Nelson and Finley when he won his SB I believe.
