The thing about the defense is we still were giving too big of a cushion...yes, we had no pass rush, but often Brees got rid of it quick because of the cushion. Also, Webb is losing ground to WRs too much by faking the blitz...give that up. Lastly, how we get burned over and over on WRs sitting down in the middle of the field is ridiculous. Colston did it twice tonight, but we just can't adjust...baffling.

I really only have one observation of note... the entire game I just got a familiar "who gives a shit" vibe from this team. It's almost like from the very first snap, nobody on the team wanted to be there.
That's leadership right there.

LBs overrun everything or get caught in the wash. Sims is worthless now.

I echo what many are saying...this team looks defeated...normally you rally around your coach or QB...neither of ours are good enough leaders to rally people. Romo looked way more comfortable when he knew the game was out of reach...the pressure was off.

So we just add the 40 first downs allowed to the long list of records that Garrett's Cowboys have set?

Cowboys also became the first defense in two and a half years to allow a 100-yard performance to 2011 draft bustMark Ingram.

Dallas' defensive futility is perhaps best illustrated by the fact that three of the top five
fantasy running-back performances of Week 10 came from the Saints' backfield.

Silver lining is that this is the most hope I've had for change in a while. Small glimpse of hope, but at least there's hope.

Just need a couple more of these beatdowns and two more 4-12 seasons and that might be enough for something substantial.

So the narrative was that at least the team never 'quit' on Garrett like they did for Wade against GB.

Anyone still think this?

Garrett looked absolutely clueless last night when they would show him. He looked exactly like Wade used to look, just not as fat.

Didn't the Saints just get beat by the Jets?

:lol

Man, this team is horrible.

So, is it possible to fire the entire staff during the bye? I've never seen a game as embarrassing as that. When I want to blow off steam sometimes I set Madden to Rookie and move all the CPU sliders to 0% and all the player sliders to 100%. The games are still more competitive than this. Injuries are no excuse.
You're right. Injuries aren't an excuse.

I don't care how many injuries to key players you have, if you're an NFL team you are still expected to make a defensive stand from time to time.

And the offense has absolutely no excuse. They just suck.

These ass kickings are for the best, though. It highlights how bad the coaching is on both sides of the ball. We need a few mnore bad performances like this to force Jerry into hiring a real HC instead of inserting another one of his lackies.

I think it was obvious that they'd quit in the 3rd quarter.

I'll say this again.

There is something to having a leader with a fiery personality in games like. Usually it should be the QB or the HC.

Obviously you have to have the skills and the X's and O's to go with that personality.

But the Cowboy leaders, each and every one of them, looked lethargic. No one was pissed or trying to rally the team to play harder. They all walked around quietly with their RKG expressions on their faces.

I'm going to go all Spagnola on you right here. Are you kidding me?

You're being embarrassed on national TV and no one is upset. Players and coaches are resigned to the fact that they are losers who can't compete. That attitude needs to be fixed and you fix it by cleaning house from top to bottom.

I fell asleep before half-time yesterday. I slept like a baby and woke up feeling great.

That's about how I feel about this team.
