So apparently both my neighbors are out fine. Have not spoken to them but thats what I heard through the grapevine.
Also, while I will certainly never, ever stick up for Biden and his handling of this, I do want to say that if there are only "low hundreds," of Americans left there that is way different than the thousands of people trying to get to the airport. We heard lots of stories that the Taliban was not allowing people to go - but if all but a few hundred made it out, then that must have changed? Or they must have snuck through? I feel like we've gotten an incomplete storyline but perhaps the people I know who were there will be able to fill it in when they get back.
Also, I do have to question, how do they Taliban know how to fly our helicopters?

I'm learning how true it is that these upper class Ivy Leaguers with zero real world experience other than scoring high on tests are completely ignorant of the real, rough world that exists out there and have no idea how to navigate it.
