People are already calling Anthony Bennett the worst #1 pick since Kwame Brown.

He's looking like a major bust.

Long way to go on this one. I hate calling guys a bust after 5 or 6 games. You have to wait years on some of these guys that come out early. Plus, dude had shoulder surgery and he still doesn't look healthy. Left the Sixers game last night grabbing his other shoulder. That being said, he's played like complete shit.

Thunder beat Detroit 119-110

Steven Adams: 17 pts (7-10 FG), 10 reb, 3 ast, 3 blk, 1 stl, 0 TO, +/- of +20 in 30 minutes

Kendrick Perkins: 0 pts (0-2 FG), 3 reb, 0 ast, 2 blk, 0 stl, 1 TO, +/- of -15 in 17 minutes

What makes Adams performance even more impressive is that Detroit has some quality big men.

Enjoy your last season in OKC Perkins. :towel
I liked Adams in the draft.

Evan Turner most improved player so far? Slimmed down and is in great shape. Worked on getting closer to the basket to get his shots off. Deadly from baseline. Has a jab step jumper that has been money. Added a ton of moves to get into the lane. He's not the fastest and can't jump the highest so he has to use other ways to get his shots off and seems to have found a few things. Get into the lane, create contact and get to the line or make his shot.

2012-13 PER he was 230th (12.16) in NBA
2013-14 he's 34th (22.21).

22.2 ppg
6.2 rpg
3.7 apg
.552 fg%
.867 ft%
only 1-9 from 3pt

Oh, and Anthony Davis may singlehandedly screw the Sixers pick they are getting from New Orleans. He is 3rd in PER at 31.99 with 23.7 pts, 12.3 reb and 4blk. People that question some of these high draft picks during their rookie year seem to forget these are guys that are 19 years old and will take a few years to develop and catch up to the guys in the NBA.
Now he's #1 in PER. Dude is a stud.

Crazy end to the Heat game.

Even with a miracle finish, they have no business losing at home to Boston.

Pacers improve to 7-0 after another solid win at Brooklyn.

And the Rockets lose again to the Clippers and show they are definitely not ready to be an elite team.

Outside of Indiana, no other team is really standing out at the moment.

I'm all for losing this year, but Brad Stevens has this team playing hard and it's starting to get me fired up. They've been in every game so far this year and now they're starting to win a little.

So which one is it? Tank or win some games? When they lose you're all in on the tank? When they win you're fired up?

I'm all in on the tank job this year, but I'm more fired up for what Stevens has been able to do so far. It gives me hope for what he can do with a healthy Rondo and a superstar talent through the draft.

Ace don't disrespect the Thunder, baby!

5-1. That's not standing out to you?

They pulled off a nice late comeback win last night. Down 10 with approx. 3 minutes to play, they came back to win in OT. And oh BTW, Westbrook had been ejected so they had to do it w/o him.

They have a nice little back to back in the middle of the week. Back to back road games against the Clippers and Warriors in Wed and Thu.

Time to take back the West.

Yea, I hadn't realized how good they were playing.

My apologies.

A Pacers/OKC Finals? I can dig it.

The Knicks are fricking awful.

If they continue down this path, then they have to consider trading Carmelo at the deadline because he's not coming back to this mess.

Melo for Deng.
Funny you say that because that is exactly the scenario I posed to some friends when we were talking possible trades for this season.

I also think Jeff Green will be a prime target to send to a contender as well. Maybe go back to OKC?

Kevin Garnett is not a starting player in this league anymore.

I think he can still help a team and he'd be a great addition off the bench, but he has no business starting or being asked to be a key productive piece.

He can still hit the 18-20 footer and he still hustles his ass off on defense, but that's about it now. His once great post game is all but gone and rarely will he create his own shot with his back to the basket. His rebounding gets worse with each season and now he seems to only be able to play for 25 min.

He could really help a team like Chicago or Houston with his leadership and toughness and occasional scoring, but as a key starter, he's done.

The usual suspects need to wake up and get this thread busy everyday.

With as much as the Cowboys suck right now, we should be talking basketball every chance we get. :art

I'll be watching Sixers vs Spurs tonight. Mainly focused on MCW and if Turner can keep it going.

Spurs are hot right now.

I know they haven't exactly played the elite teams in this span, but they beat the crap out of the Lakers and then beat the crap out of Knicks.

Things don't look good for the Sixers tonight, but then again, I think you guys would rather have it that way.

I feel like watching some obscure basketball tonight.

I'll probably check out the 1st half of the Hawks-Bobcats game then jump to Raptors-Rockets for a bit.
