Its Come to Jesus Day for the Sooners. :towel
I'm getting in the road in 10 minutes, Rev.

Sooner nation is heading to Floyd Casey to take over.

Hope they brought enough water for the two horses pulling the Sooner Schooner. I suspect they're going to be doing a lot of running tonight. :towel

Only Josh Heupel would think putting the game plan on the right arm of Bell is a good idea.

No attempt whatsoever was made to establish the run with the running backs.

Pathetic

The OU offense is completely throttled down. Too conservative.

I thought it was hilarious when the announcer said after a 3 yard pass attempt that it was too far to make Bell pass the ball.

I think he was indicating the pattern was to far for a the three yard attempt.

Yeah. It was across the field but it still cracked me up.

OU defense has been good but just going to get worn down.

Now you guys see why I said I questioned Texas Tech's defense after they were lit up by Bell.

Bell is horrid. I thought Oklahoma would play it smart and lean heavily on the running game and play ball control. That would have been a better move than allowing Bell to sling it around as if he's Peyton Manning.

"Big Game" Bob Stoops, folks

He and his frog brother can GTFO
Stoops has a knack for locking down his team in the big games. It was a typical approach for putting the offense on a conservative mode and let the defense win it. The problem is the defense is on the field too much and they wear down. He is a good coach but he cannot go full throttle in the spotlight.

I wouldn't say they are overrated. Nobody rated them highly. The defense is playing above their talent level for the most part. The talent is just not there. Last week was obviously bad. I expect them to lay a few more stinkers this year still.

Kilff called a bad game against OU. There will be some real talent challenges and growing pains for the young coaching staff.

The offense wasn't on conservative mode, IMO. Blake Bell just can't play. And Josh Heupel is in way over his head as a coordinator.

Bell and the offense has struggled mightily against "juggernauts" like Kansas, TCU, and Texas.

Bells looks like a LB trying to play QB. There's no accuracy. He doesn't read defenses. If the primary receiver doesn't beat his man and get open the play is toast. And he's slow as hell.

Heupel is just bleh as an OC. If you know you have a bad QB, lean on the running game. Heupel doesn't understand that. He thinks he still has Landry Jones back there.

Another issue I have with Heupel is that they keep trying to use Bell as a runner. He's too freaking slow and uncoordinated. The only thing he's good for is QB sneaks and even those rarely work these days. Yet there they are every week calling run plays for Bell that require him to bounce it outside. That play has not worked one time all year. Swear to God. But they'll keep calling them.

I hope they lose their remaining 3 games this year. Maybe that will facilitate change on the offensive staff. Because if Bell and Heupel are back in 2014 I may just skip a year a Sooner football. I'm done wasting 3 hours of my life watching that garbage offense. Watching OU on offense is like a combination of watching paint dry and watching your 4 year old's soccer match.

LT, correct me if I'm wrong, but Blake Bell is the worst QB we've had here in over 20 years. I can't think of any QBs who've been as bad as Bell.

Even when we had Bomar and Hybl I was fine with those guys because they actually looked like functional QBs.

This is why I hate when teams bring back popular players to be coordinators.

Heupel won't be going anywhere any time soon because he led them to the last title

I hate it as well.

But there is some hope that he'll be shown the door. He's been on the hit seat for a couple of years now.

Plus his offense has shown absolutely no improvement from the start of the season to now. In fact, one could argue that they've regressed as the season has progressed.
