He is fast and has good hands. I don't know how he will translate, but with the proper coaching he could be good.
Iam, tell us about this guy.
I dunno why I like this kid, but I do.
With the right coaching Barrett could possibly be a good backup for dak.
I remember seeing a game where he made some spectacular catches and was told by Iam that he was going to be a stud. But then I guess he never developed from there.
Iam, tell us about this guy.
I know I shouldn't but I love this dude. I think the Cowboys are pretty excited about his role as a true NT.
I doubt he plays more than 25% or so of the snaps, and I don't think he's very talented athletically, but at the end of the day he's big as shit and seems to take pride in playing his role, so he should be a decent enough roleplayer.I know I shouldn't but I love this dude. I knew that his stats if you extrapolated them out over a normal season were pretty impressive but I just read that he actually led the PAC-12 in receiving yards last season, so pretty impressive production to go with ideal size/athletic testing. I don't think he plays as fast as his 40 time implies but for a 5th round pick that's nitpicking.I dunno why I like this kid, but I do.
I freely admit I didn't know jack nor squat about him before the draft. But the instant we drafted him, he became one of my favorite draft picks and a pet cat. That's how desperate I am for a fat body in the middle of this run defense.I know I shouldn't but I love this dude. I think the Cowboys are pretty excited about his role as a true NT.
It's his attitude about what he does, it's his production and yes we have been craving a big ass DT for so long It's nice to finally have one. Even if he is really just our base defense NT.I freely admit I didn't know jack nor squat about him before the draft. Well the good thing is, "big as shit" CAN be very effective in the position he is playing. I am thrilled we got someone that is actually built to play that position instead of trying to force a square peg in a round hole.I doubt he plays more than 25% or so of the snaps, and I don't think he's very talented athletically, but at the end of the day he's big as shit and seems to take pride in playing his role, so he should be a decent enough roleplayer.
Yep. Who knows, we don't really know these guys, but I really liked his interviews. He seems like a good ol' country kid who loves football. I didn't detect anything about wishing he'd been a basketball player or talking only about the money aspect. Seems like he really enjoys playing in the mud and keeping the LBs behind him clean. It's his attitude about what he does
Well he went from Kingsbury offense to the crap we have now. He can make some crazy catches but I wouldnt expect much from him.I remember seeing a game where he made some spectacular catches and was told by Iam that he was going to be a stud. But then I guess he never developed from there.
He had shit at QB in college. So, some of that wasn't on him. The dude had extremely good hands, and with the right coaching could be a decent piece on Sundays.I remember seeing a game where he made some spectacular catches and was told by Iam that he was going to be a stud. But then I guess he never developed from there.
Same here. I didn't know anything about him but after reading up on him and understanding what his role will probably be with this defense, it feels like we got a nice late-round steal.I freely admit I didn't know jack nor squat about him before the draft. But the instant we drafted him, he became one of my favorite draft picks and a pet cat. That's how desperate I am for a fat body in the middle of this run defense.
