It's going to be all about preference. I could see Lance in that group as well. Something tells me it's for Fields though. He has a lot of physical gifts, production at a top level and to me that's sort of the obvious guy. He checks a lot of the boxes for what they would want in my opinion.
If they are sticking with Garropolo, then I think it is Lance. He is the one who would benefit by sitting.

They are tricking the system! Sign them cheap, get great play, reap benefits of comp picks! But yeah, we don't use free agency the way most teams do. We have progressively gotten worse at free agency it seems.
This would be a great approach if you were winning Super Bowls.

Who are the 49ers after at 3? They say they are keeping Jimmy G.
Can you imagine how pissed Niners fans would be if the team 2 firsts and a third for something other than a QB?

Well he did say Pitts could kick field goals from his own 30. Boom! The Kicker/TE
He would also need to punt.

Man it just hit me that houston originally had the 3 overall pick.

They could've traded Watson for a huge windfall of picks and already be in perfect position to draft his replacement plus add a ton of other pieces.

I know, I know, we landed on the moon etc., but it just really sunk in and it's been a while since we've seen a franchise screw things up this badly (on top of all the other bad decisions they've made).

Houston fans must be livid right now.

@Texas Ace must be in his glory as far as houston is concerned right now.

No, I still wouldn't take a kicker that could do that.

That said, I do think Pitts is a generational-type. Far more than guys like Sewell or Slater.
Is he Witten Part Deux?

I hesitate to say anybody will be a HOF'er but I think he's the surest bet to be a HOF'er in this class and that includes Lawrence. Sewell and Lawrence are the only guys I'd even consider including in the argument.
