Does anyone honestly still care if Austin comes back? I prefer Williams, Harris and Beasley at this point.

Correct. They are better off without Austin at this point. Williams has made Austin obsolete much quicker than anticipated which is great.

Funny what a few weeks can do. At the start of the season a lot of folks wanted Beasley dropped at the nearest dumpster and Williams ran out of town for being drafted too high.

To be fair, Beasley didn't show a whole lot the first few weeks of the season. But lately, he has come on and is really rounding into that quick little Welker type WR that is difficult to cover with a LB or safety.

Who wanted Williams run out of town? No one I can remember.

Caesar Rayford has been disappointing, we gave up a pick for him and Everette Brown, George Selvie, and even Jaryus Wynn are kicking his ass.

DE Edgar Jones on track to return for Packers game

Defensive end Edgar Jones has missed the past five games after requiring sports hernia surgery. But he expects to return before the end of the season.

The Cowboys played him on injured reserve/designated for return, and he is eligible to be back on the field Dec. 15 against Green Bay.

"We anticipate him being... ready to go when he’s eligible to come back," Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Monday.

Jones, whom the Cowboys acquired in a trade from Kansas City on Aug. 31, started jogging Monday.

"I'm definitely fortunate they IR'd me to return back, but the most important thing with me right now is just taking it one day a time," Jones said Monday. "As long as I'm feeling good, just keep increasing the work."

Jones had five tackles, three quarterback pressures and a pass defensed in 67 defensive snaps. He also played 77 special teams plays.

Me either. I remember some saying that maybe he shouldn't be getting so many snaps until he shows he's ready. And the only problem with Beasley earlier in the season is that this coaching staff was too slow to correctly incorporate him into the offense.

Yeah, I can't recall anyone being pissed he was drafted too high. If anything he was a bit of steal considering he was higher on our draft board than our second round POS TE.

Maybe LT is just confusing Escobust with Williams. Common mistake...I guess. :unsure

Pretty sure it was Bipo
People pay attention to what he says? About anything? Really?

He makes Nors look like an intelligent, well spoken Rhodes scholar.

I recall the general consensus was that Williams was one of the smarter picks we made in the draft

Practice Update: Dez Not Practicing; Ware Makes Return
Posted 2 hours ago

ARLINGTON, Texas - For a couple of reasons, the Cowboys moved practice indoors Wednesday to AT&T stadium in preparations for Sunday's game with the Saints.

But a few key players were not included, highlighted by the absence of wide receiver Dez Bryant, who was a surprise no-show. Early reports indicate tightness in his back.

Other players not in attendance were Jason Hatcher (stinger), cornerback Morris Claiborne

(hamstring), wide receiver Miles Austin (hamstring) and safety J.J. Wilcox (knee).

One player back to practice was DeMarcus Ware, who has missed the last three games with a quad strain. Ware could be limited when the team releases the official injury report later in he day.

One new face on the field was defensive tackle Everett Dawkins, who signed with the team Wednesday. Dawkins, who joined the team from Minnesota's practice squad, is wearing No. 90.

Coach Jason Garrett said the team went inside to escape the rainy conditions in the area. But they will crank up the noise inside to try and simulate the expected noise at the Superdome is week in New Orleans.

Hatcher can't lift his left arm higher than his shoulder. I don't see how he will be able to play.

Jason Hatcher playing with nerve damage

November, 6, 2013

By Calvin Watkins | ESPNDallas.com

IRVING, Texas -- While the Dallas Cowboys are getting defensive end DeMarcus Ware back for Sunday's game at the New Orleans Saints, defensive tackle Jason Hatcher's availability is a question mark.

Hatcher suffered nerve damage in the neck area and doesn't have enough strength in his arm to practice, let alone play in a game.

"This thing is kind of stressful and I lost all the strength in my arm," Hatcher said Wednesday. "So it's getting better day by day and hopefully I'll be out there with D-Ware this weekend."

Ware has encountered nerve issues in his neck/shoulder area in the past, but it's nothing like what Hatcher is experiencing.

"DeMarcus' was different," Hatcher said. "I talked to him [Wednesday] about it. Mine, when it happened, I lost the strength in my arm and its never happened to me. It's an odd situation, frustrating, so it's just a day-to-day process. It's a nerve condition, I think you've got to wait until the nerve gets un-pissed off and it can give me my arm back. As soon as that happens, hopefully it will be before Sunday and I can go out there and help my team win."

The Cowboys have signed nine defensive linemen to the active roster since September and are juggling players on a regular basis during games. If Hatcher isn't available for Sunday's game, expect Drake Nevis to replace him.

"It's day-to-day, just stay off it, don't hit it again or aggravate it," said Hatcher, who took to the internet to explore the type of injury he has. "It's kind of inflamed right now so get the swelling out and so it can start to respond and I can get my arm back."
