You know what’s fucked about all of this?

95% of the people calling shots in Washington will still be there after a transition. They are a way bigger problem than Trump ever dreamt of being.

The entire system needs to be re-set. Power needs to be taken away from Washington and redistributed to people who live in the real world. Nobody in Washington has suffered through 2020. Unless you consider having to apologize for $500 lunches and $600 hair appointments that break rules.

Politics cannot be a career anymore. It needs to become a sacrifice, not a ticket to high society. Public service should not enrich at the level it does. Hanging onto power becomes the only job you covet.

That movement should be in full swing.

If we dont find a way to force them to accept term limits, this will never end.

I've always thought term limits made a lot of sense, what am I missing, whats the downside?

I heard a counterpoint that elections are the term limits and having them would prevent the best person from doing the job except for the length of the term

I disagree and feel that government should not be that hard and if it was truly about serving the people of the country and then getting the fuck out and going back to work, things would get done (or better yet not get done unless they were truly needed).

The only thing that requires experience in my opinion is how to kiss ass, doubt talk, how to navigate all the mine fields, obstacles and games in order to actually accomplish anything which were constructed by the folks that want to stay there forever and shouldn't exist in the first place

what I want is a pipe dream

I'm with you man. Congressional Representative should not be a permanent career choice, anymore than POTUS should be.

I wouldn’t be surprised if these politicians get free top of line medical insurance for life after their exit from political life.

Watch this. Tell me how and what he’s wrong about.

Don’t be a gutless coward because “Oh, he’s Glenn Beck”, I don’t particularly like Beck, in fact I never listen to him. He’s a bit out there for me on some things. I happened to stumble across it and was curious what he would say about yesterday.

If someone can listen to this, no matter what side of the political spectrum you’re on, and not agree with just about all of it, you’re in one of the “end zones” he talks about.
Sounded reasonable to me, he expressed what I did in believing this event is going to haunt the Republicans because even though it was a small number of extremists, it will be portrayed by the media (already is), democrats, etc as representative of everyone who had the "audacity" to vote for Trump.

Did anyone watch this shit below from two hosts of a TV show openly and proudly spewing racist shit that if another skin pigment said the same thing about their skin pigment, all hell would break lose, heads would roll and people would be fired (as they probably should) but this is water off a ducks back, starting at 4:10-->

the hypocrisy, willful ignorance, cognitive dissidence and arrogance is astounding and quite frankly scary because there is no push back, apparently this is ok but its divisive as hell and if it continues on this trajectory, openly, proudly even, it will not end well for anyone

Potus is way different. They shouldn't have the pressure of pleasing public opinion. They represent the law, not the people. Totally different in my opinion.

I don’t know if it’s a correct figure, but I just googled how much it costs to run the government every year.

$2.966 trillion dollars is the figure that popped up.

It’s time to privatize. If we have to foot that bill, we should way more say in how it’s done, not just participation in a glorified popularity contest every other year.

Anyone think government could be the issue with wealth gap?

I agree that the POTUS is different, however we will have to disagree if you think congress shouldn't have term limits.
