Us losing our starter compared to their starters was a lot bigger loss. Especially in the skins case. Hell, them losing their starter was probably a good thing. It reversed a retarded coaches decision to start Haskins and they now have Smith starting. I’d call that a position upgrade.

This sounds like a criticism of the defensive coaching, which is good news if he thinks that way.

But he's really delusional if he doesn't think it was also a big problem last year, and in fact since 2018.

(Obviously a good deal of defensive personnel has to change also.)
