EA's NHL 2008 was revolutionary, one of the best sports games I've ever played, but it's now getting the same kind of stale that Madden has.

They haven't changed anything since then, it feels like the same game.

The 2k basketball series always feels fresh to me. I don't buy it every year but it's always good. I just wish they'd make a college game again.

2K should be commended for their ability to consistently put out a great product year after year even though, like Madden, they really don't have any competition.

2K is the standard that all sports games should strive to meet......they pretty much don't leave any room for excuses.

Next-Gen EA Golf Game Will Drop Tiger Woods Name

EA will drop the Tiger Woods name from its next-gen golf games. In a post on EA’s official site, Daryl Holt, VP and GM of Golf at EA Sports, wrote that “EA Sports and Tiger Woods have also made a mutual decision to end our partnership, which includes Tiger's named PGA Tour golf game. We’ve always been big fans of Tiger and we wish him continued success in all his future endeavors.”

Holt added that “EA Sports golf fans have always loved authentic courses and players, but they've also asked for more choice and customization in how and where they play. We're working on a new approach to deliver the best golf experience to our fans — we think you'll love it, and so we’re excited to share the first screenshot of our next generation golf game currently in development.”

“Moving forward, we will continue to work with the PGA Tour exclusively to create groundbreaking golfing titles and our partnership remains strong,” he concluded. “EA Sports is committed to creating a new golf experience that leverages the best technologies across EA to deliver a stunning and immersive game for mobile and next generation consoles. We'll have more news soon.”

This makes Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14, which was released earlier this year, the final Tiger Woods game, and resolves a rumor from earlier this year that Tiger Woods 15 had been canceled.

Pre-ordered on Amazon, got the KillZone bundle. Extra controller comes in tomorrow. I also ordered AC4 and COD:Ghosts. I have the release day and the following Monday off from work. So you can say that I am ready.

I got my Dualshock 4 already. It is really nice and an improvement over the DS3.

I'm getting BF4, FIFA 14, NBA 2K14, and Need for Speed.

Thinking about going for Killzone but not sure yet.

Speaking of BF4, it is excellent this year and far better than BF3.

If it's this good on current gen, I can't wait to play it on PS4 in just over 2 weeks from now.

I like the new controller as well. My only gripe is that the bottom is very slick. I would like some kind of grip underneath.

I wonder if this is worth doing? I mean if I can go into a store somewhere prior to December 25th and just pick one up I'd probably rather do that. However if that's not going to be possible I'd rather reserve one through Walmart. Paying for the controller doesn't bother me at all, I just don't want to preorder one and then see one sitting on a shelf somewhere wishing I could just buy that one and say screw the preorder.

If you do see one sitting on a shelf, you can still buy it and cancel your pre-order with walmart.
