I can't stay up to watch the entire game but I'm very interested in seeing how Doc's Clippers look.

They'll be going up against a so-so Lakers team but it should still be worth the watch.

i want to see if Blake Griffin has added anything to his game. I think that's the key to the Clippers taking that next step. If it's the same old Blake I don't think they make it past round 2.

Even before tonight's game I thought the Pacers were still the 2nd best team in the East after Miami.

Bulls are 3rd, IMO.

I would not sleep on the Nets. That is a pretty deep team there.

Sources are saying Westbrook could be back by mid-November.

This is the first time the Bulls starting 5 started a game together, Rose's first game in 18 months, Noah played about 3 minutes all preseason with even less practice time and Butler/Deng had 3 fouls each about 2 minutes into the 2nd quarter.

Yea, I'm sure this will be the Bulls team we see in 6 months.

Everybody knew there was going to be rust after not playing for 18 months, the regular season is different than the preseason just like the playoffs are different than the regular season. He looks at least if not more explosive than ever, his in-game instincts and decision making will catch up.

Brooklyn to me is boom or bust. They could be great or they could just be a 6th seed and neither would surprise me. Pierce looked really old in last year's playoffs and Garnett is going to become a non-factor at some point. If both those guys look their age this year, the Nets won't be any better than last year. Also, Kidd is a rookie coach so that has to be taken into account as well.

Chicago will be solid regardless if Rose returns to form or not because they are the best coached team in the league. If he ends up being the Rose of old, then they could be as high as 2nd.

I have the Heat in the finals, but I really feel like they'll be extremely vulnerable this year and I also feel like the big 3 plus relatively nothing formula has run its course.

If the Pacers improve from last year, I can totally see them beating Miami.

If Miami does in the playoffs this season what they've done the last two....where they go long stretches without playing great basketball and where Wade does nothing for 8 games or so, then I think someone is going to take them down in the east.

I don't think Miami will be able to beat Indiana and Chicago back to back if that's how it shakes out, you might be able to throw Brooklyn in there if they can summon a heart and get some oil for their joints like a modern day Tinman.

Just like people overreacted to his "great" preseason they'll overreact to this one game. Rose will be fine. Not a great start, but only one game, 81 to go.

12 pts
1 reb
4 assts
5 to
4-15 fg
1-7 3 pt

But your boy Schmitty was in here posting Rose's preseason stats as if they meant Rose was back to being a dominant force.
