You can't blame the coordinators without blaming the HC. It doesn't work that way.

But for all the credit we are giing to Kiffen and Marinelli, where is the blame?

This defense has:

- allowed four 400 yd passers
- allowed 51 points in a game
- had 4 T/Os and still managed to lose the game

Even some of the wins we've had have not been that impressive due to the defense. Anyone remember the season opener? We had a buttload of turnovers in that game as well and still barely won.

But yeah let's blame the HC or QB for the failures of this team instead of the GM who put this shit storm of a team together and hired all these supposed geniuses to laed this vast talent that Carp is going on about.
Garrett just has the darnest luck with defensive schemes, I guess. What is this? His 4th full year and he's on DC #3? How many first time coaches get to survive multiple coordinators without blame like this guy?

Jason as OC: offense failures aren't his fault, he's not the head coach

Jason as HC: failures aren't his fault, he's not a coordinator

This fricker leads a charmed life, I'll give him that

Who cares. He is history and the blown games are history. I am on next week now.
This is the kind of attitude you want your players to have.

Only, this isn't just LT's attitude. He really does have short term memory loss.

Don't get me wrong. Garrett deserves his share of the blame. As does the rest of this team. I just don't have the words to describe my feelings about a defense that allows us to lose in the fashion that they do. They force turnovers (which is what we were screaming for last year) but still manage to mess the bed at the end like yesterday.

I'm all for blowing this team up and starting from scratch. See what kind of picks we can get for Ware, Witten, Dez, and Romo. Hire a GM that knows what the heck he's doing (pipe dream I know). Fire Garrett and Hire a new coach. And start anew.

Romo looked like shit yesterday, and has in more than half the games. He is playing scared, just like Garrett is coaching scared. Funny how that works.

The man was also running for his life again. The OL struggled with the Lion's pass rush.

I see...so then Garrett is blameless...thanks Schmitty Jr.
Not at all. But it's not like we heads and shoulders better than everyone talent-wise either. I've clearly stated our main issue is with Jerry. In hiring his comfort-level HC, in ignoring glaring positions on the team and wasting draft pick after draft pick and in the loser atmosphere his promotes.

The talent is good enough to win...definitely better than the shit show Parcells took to the playoffs his first year. Better coaching would make a huge difference.

For once, you and I are in total agreement.

I don't agree with the Romo running for his life comment yesterday either...at least not while Waters was in there. They got some decent pressure at times off stunts, but for the most part it was manageable. The early part of the game when his OL was at full strength was when Romo looked the worst and scared. Had he taken advantage of a decent pocket and the D being stout, we wouldn't have begged a D with multiple shit stains in the secondary to hold on to dear life.

That and his absolutely moronic throw away to stop the clock with a few minutes left.

You are correct. I do think an Andy Reid could come in here and do measurably better with the same offensive talent. But you can also bet that Reid is going to prioritize the OL and DL, which will go a long way.

But for the vast majority of coaches, this team is not a Super Bowl contending roster. Is it 9-7 or 10-6 as opposed to 8-8? I don't think anyone can really say, I'm certainly not convinced. Maybe. But I suspect any of the coaches hired this offseason, minus Reid, would not be doing any better.

I don't even think Garrett is average to be honest.

He is in a group with people like Leslie Frazier.
He's somewhere in the soft middle between 10 and 20 or so.

I don't think he's a bottom 5-10 worst coach in the league, but he's obviously not in the top 10 either. I'm not sure there's a ton of difference outside those tiers.

Yeah, I'd love to have an all-timer great HC like Parcells here again.

They gave up an assload of yards yesterday, but I can't bring myself to pin the loss on the defense.

When are the coaches going to learn to slow the frikkin game down? We can not out shoot the elite QBs, mother humping deal with it, asswipes!
