Exactly. A large number of people think Dez is the problem. I think that's far from true.

If Romo had just a little fire in him this team would be better off. Brady, Brees, Manning, Rogers....the true elite QBs all piss a little vinegar from time to time. Not Romo. He just sits quietly on the bench looking at photos while shit is falling apart all around him.
This is problem with the whole is exchange. Dez has his tirades on the sidelines because nobody hew as talking to are leaders and willing to shut him down.

Troy was never was the fiery guy, but you never saw Irvin get all in his face while he bitched out on the bench.

One playcall I didn't like was the offensive drive before the holding-call-drive.

We ran that run on 2nd down that lost 2 yards or something, so 3rd and 12.

We threw an incomplete pass and stopped the clock.

If you're going to run it on 2nd and lose yardage, then run it or a high percentage pass (like a screen) on 3rd down.

That saved 30 seconds.
That play was just as retarded, but not cause it was incomplete. It was incomplete because Romo felt pressure and intentionally threw it away.

lol wut?

yes, that's right. While we're trying to waste clock, our QB intentionally threw a ball out of bounds and stopped it.

And I was happy to see Dez do that as well.

The last time anyone got in Romo's face was T.O. But it probably didn't faze him because everyone always wrote that off as T.O. being T.O. and you knew all he really cared about was getting the ball.

While I'm sure Dez was asking for the ball too, I have no doubt that what he wants most is to win and you could see that today.

It's about time someone got on Romo's ass for playing like shit and/or being a dumbass. Everyone in this organization treats him like a baby and I'm tired of it.
I'd bet my bottom dollar that if it was Michael Irvin who had Dez' tirade this afternoon that the media and fans would be licking the back of his balls for stepping up and being a leader by openly displaying his passion for the game. I praise Dez for the move. It needs to be done more often. If Romo had half of Bryant's sack, we would've won a shit ton more of the game we've choked away over the years.

True. Take the sack.

Yup.

Dez, Witten and Williams are 3 pieces that together form a group that is 100 times better than anything the 2000-2003 Eagles had and yet Andy Reid took that crap he had and consistently made them one of the best passing offenses in football.

Meanwhile, we're going on about 4 years of this bullshit where this offense struggles week in and week out.
The Eagles had great lines on both sides of the ball, we have exactly the opposite.

When your lines are bad, you get pennies on the dollar from your skill position players. That's one of the reasons it always looks like Romo sucks, the WRs are underused, the RBs can't find holes, and the secondary is always a trainwreck.

Coaching is certainly an issue, but so are the lines.

Further proof that Jerry is the real problem. He's the one in charge of hiring/drafting both.

But you know what. This isn't a regular occurrence for Bryant. He doesn't blow up like that on a regular basis so his blow up holds a little more weight than if it were coming from a notorious hot head.

To me it just came off as a guy who was tired of seeing the team going down the same road which eventually leads to an 8-8 record.

And Troy was fiery from time to time. I remember plenty of times where he reamed his teammates for slow starts and sloppy play.

I have no problem with what Bryant did, someone needs to show some god damned emotion around these parts with our halfway comatose HC and QB.

I don't mind him getting upset, but he does need to get it together and get ready to play. Witten was clearly pointing at the scoreboard at the end saying "Hey, there is 12 seconds left. Put your helmet on and get ready" and he just kept ranting.

I think at that point he needs to listen to Witten and get it under control instead of having to have Ware push him away. Yell afterwards in the locker room.

Maybe if there was 45 seconds or a minute left you'd have a point but using that as excuse to calm Bryant down is a cop out, not a god damned thing is happening in 12 seconds and we all know it. The damage was done, the game was over.

I'm not sure that it is. I don't think you can say we are more talented than most of the other playoff caliber teams.
Sure I can. I can look right at the Seahawks and see a less talented offense.

With no leader at HC, an enigma at QB, a patchwork DL which we knew needed upgraded even before the injuries, weak safeties and on and on. We underperform annually for a reason and it is due to the person at the top making the decisions and fostering the loser atmosphere.
This group is good enough to win with though. Today should have been a win. Denver was very winnable, KC the same, SD too. At no point in our schedule have I felt like the team across from us was better than us personnel wise. Some teams sure, but it is not a landslide...so the difference then becomes coaching, not the owner.

Agreed, someone should be pissed about giving a victory away like that. Get pissed, real pissed.

Romo's body language is horrific. Showed no balls when Dez was going off...he should have gotten right back in his face, but he backed down and let Witten fight his battle for him.
Romo is a punk. Soft, overpaid and above reproach.

4th and 3 and Jordy Nelson runs a 5-yard stop. Pitch and catch for a 1st down.

...and Jordy Nelson is their only viable target with all the injuries.

Yet it takes an act of Congress of us to get the ball to Dez Bryant.
Right. Like an act of Congress would ever happen.

Liberals would say you have to pass the ball to everyone.

Moderates would say pass it to Austin even though he isn't playing because he's white and black.

Conservatives would shut down the game if Beasley or Witten wasn't getting the ball. And would probably wonder how the guy throwing the ball got into the fucking country in the first place.

The Parcells-era that left us with an amazingly talented roster has pretty much worn off. Now their talent level has waned significantly and is old and beat up to boot, especially on defense. It's not going to be pretty during the final years of the Romo era, that's for sure.

We're pretty screwed. Our roster has some real stars but is chock full of losers - not just JAGS - losers. Our cap is a mess which means this season - which is already lost as far as a title run goes - and next season are pretty much shot. At that point, Romo will probably be in free fall skill-wise. Ware and Witten will be done. Austin will be done.

We'll have some nice pieces but without a QB I'm pretty sure we're f'ed...

I agree with this assessment. Dallas has been in every game this season. Except for critical strategically placed screw ups this team can compete. We are wasting our time however trying to sell this group a half full glass. I don't even try.
