That's exactly what I said just a few pages ago.

All these guys do and have done after these inexplicable losses is hang their head, sound all somber in their interviews as they talk about how heart breaking the loss was and how they have to learn and get better.

Fuck that shit.

As fans, we've been furious after these losses and only get more and more upset when the next one comes along. It's about damn time that someone on that team acted angrily like they were truly pissed off at losing a game they had no business doing.

I'm behind Dez 100%.
So Witten doesn't want to win? Jason Witten? Yelling and screaming doesn't mean you care more OR less than anyone else.

Are you really?

Why?

I walked outside because at 1:02 I knew we'd blow it. I know you remember each one of our epic losses over the years, so I don't need to remind you......so having seen all of that, did you really not think it was possible for us to lose?

For the first time all year, I would have been mad after a loss after I saw that. That is exactly why I left and came back so that I wouldn't have to see it nor be all that upset about it if it happened.

If there is ONE thing these Cowboys have taught us.....ONE thing.....it is that if there is a way to a lose a game, they will find it.
You are like the Bizarro World Hostile.

I thought we had the game because...well...most teams in that situation win.

This was not a classic "Cowboys" loss.

This was a failure that I would not be surprised makes some sort of historical mark,

Ehm.... well, in RL I can have no girlfriend if I choose (I'm setting myself up for this one, I know).

In the NFL, you have to have a head coach. It would be like potentially having an even more abusive girlfriend. I'd rather not choose a new one until I know she's a good person.
The problem with your defense of Garrett is you always overestimate his value and assume it will take a superior HC to exceed what he's giving us now. And that's where many of us disagree. At least I do. I don't see anything special about Garrett as either a HC or OC that would make me hesitate to replace him with any coach with a decent body of experience. What is it we're really losing if Garrett goes? The offense, while often putting up good stats, has been inconsistent and unable to run the ball for as long as he's held sole responsibility for the unit. And the team as a whole has never run with any kind of order and precision during his reign. Garrett has been average at best and there are plenty of coaches out there that could come in and equal or better what he's done.

Your answers are as good as saying "...until Garrett dies". First, how many "better" coaches, per your definition, exist? Then, any of these Schmitty-defined "better" coaches won't come to Dallas with Jerruh, anyway.
Well, I doubt that is the case, like I said, I would have been very happy with hiring Reid, just last year.

My answer is not the same as saying "until Garrett dies," but it simply doesn't have a predetermined number. I don't know if it's 2 more seasons, 3 more seasons, 1 more season, whatever. At some point, it would become obvious there is a better opportunity, and I would suspect that opportunity will occur sooner as opposed to like a decade from now.

I don't have an exact number though, and it's not reasonable to think there should be an exact number. If Rex Ryan was to get chopped in New York I'd want him right away.

The sad reality is something you touched on, though. As long as Jerry is here, we're not gonna have success. Whether its because the elite coaches don't want his meddling, they'll only take his money when they are on the down side of their careers, whether he poisons even a good coach's efforts, or whatever (probably all the above), he's a ruiner. It's amazing we haven't become completely numbed to it already.

:lol

I thought we had the game won too after we stopped the Lions on 4th down.

But when I realized after the penalty that they'd have 1:02 to get down the field, I instantly got that bad feeling and did expect them to blow it.

I'm just glad I didn't see it.

There is that point in a game when the "We're gonna win" thought clicks.

I was about half a synapse away from having that one fire. The only thing holding me back was... if they get another long pass.... nah, we just need to tackle them in bounds a couple times.

Nope.

I think Dez is completely justified in being pissed at the offense's failures. It is beyond me how he gets so few targets when he's the best weapon we have. I think that goes back to the offensive philosophy of "taking what the defense gives you", i.e., following the path of least resistance. I think it's a logical strategy, but Dez can make plays in spite of double coverage. Sometimes Dez double-covered is still a better option than your other options with single coverage.

And if it did, it would just be the latest of many for this team.

All the way back to 2005, we've been blowing games left and right while setting negative marks along the way.

The only time Parcells has ever lost a game when up by 13 or more in the 4th? These Cowboys.

Remember the last time we played the Lions? First Cowboys team in franchise history to blow a 24 point lead.

Remember the Ravens game in the Texas Stadium finale? ONly team in NFL history to allow back to back runs of 80-plus yards.

I can keep going and going with this.

The point is, if what you've seen in recent years from this team didn't prepare you for even the idea that we could blow this game, then I don't know what to tell you other than I guess you're still expecting this team to act like a winner would, and that's just not gonna happen when it's still full of so many losers.

Garrett was average today, actually worse than that; but I don't want to make a change just to make a change. I have little faith that the owner will hire the right person. I am ok with watching the rest of the season and then seeing where we are. But today is really the first time I have been truly down and disappointed with Garrett. A kneel down on third down and we win today.

TheTicket is calculating that if we just QB kneeled and punted into the end zone, the Lions would've gotten the ball back with 00:25 seconds at most, down by 3.

It all figures.

Gosh darn the luck we shit the bed in a crucial conference game and need to hope for divisional incompetence.

Our defense will be the reason we lose games unless they get 6 turnovers.

He was way below average.

This is a game that should make anyone with a sane mind go...hmmm...could this guy ever win a championship?

Since the answer is "no", then just move on.
