I had it for a couple of weeks recently.
It was literally just an unshakable (but very tolerable) dry cough and low grade fever (no chills except one night in the beginning).
I can honestly say that covid-19 was the weakest virus I've had in my life.
the early few days I experienced extreme exhaustion. I was walking through the grocery store and became afraid that I would collapse in front of everyone. I ignored it because I had been dealing with a pretty intense amount of stress. About 2-3 into it I had a terrible headache for a few days. Then my eyeballs hurt, little heavy breathing and weird pain in my hips. It took me e few days to be suspicious enough to get tested. I started feeling bad on a Monday, got tested on friday, positive test results on the following Monday. More than anything it was just strange feeling. Nothing too severe other than a bit of fear about breathing. Once I knew that my breathing was going to be ok I was fine. After that your garden variety American arrogance set in. “I had it and I’m fine, bitches! Stop being pussies and go back to work!”

I respect people who are afraid but I’m never going to live my life afraid. I understand caution that I a point but shutting down the world is such a bad idea. If you’re scared then stay home. I’m not going to.

Did either of you wear masks? Just curious.

I wear a mask when out.
I actually got the virus from a relative, who got it from somebody at work (there was apparently an outbreak at their job).
To answer p1_, I had it (or was at least symptomatic) for a little over two weeks, but like I said, it wasn't that bad, honestly.
Having to stay home and do nothing was the bad part.

I’m glad it was mild and relatively short lived for you. You prob have no underlying issues, which is great

I got it from my daughter. She went off to College Station to visit some friends and came back with a “cold.”

She could have come back to tell me that she wants to be an Aggie so I consider having Covid the better of those two options.

ohhh

It’s funny how different places are approaching the mask wearing differently

The mask regs make no sense to me. I feel stupid putting on a mask 2’ from a restaurant door then take it off when I walk 6’ to the table.

You could be in California where the Gov wants you to put it on in between bites.
I hope some there are smart enough to call there turkey day get togethers protests, just put a BLM sign in your front lawn and dare them to break it up

At home, in Dallas, I don’t wear one outside. No one does. But in the streets of Telluride, there were quite a few. It was strange

We have been been business as usual, we even had our usual fam reunion at a friends rental house down in Galveston back in Sept and the beach there was packed
