Patriots inspired by our performance.
Cam Newton is performing as expected.

He's not a dependable passer. It bothers me the way the national media refuses to hold him accountable for his poor play. It's just one excuse after another when it comes to Cam.

And as I typed this he just YOLO'd an INT that could set the 49ers up for 3 free points before the half.

I guess this proves that coaching can only do so much.

I would rather not have Belichick match Tom Landry’s 20 consecutive winning season record.

It’s what I have left.
There really isn't anything else to root for except draft pick.

Can't even root for Zeke winning a rushing title or DLaw sack title. Nobody's chasing a career record.

I’d normally fight for some outside shot at playoff glory, but this is just the receiving end of a glory hole instead.

It's about the only thing we have left.

It helps that the AFC East actually has a pulse for a change. Buffalo looks like a legit 10+ win playoff team and Miami could flirt with .500.

That’s a huge part of it.

About the only positive today was Dalton being able to hard-count Washington into two offsides calls

They had almost 400 yards of offense with whatever their names and we had 142 with three stud WRs, a pretty good TE, more than decent RBs and a QB who's actually been to playoff games and did pretty well with a bad head coach (Lewis). But here we are. Not denying the injuries, but some teams hunker down. We don't.

Shit. Sam Young, our 6th round OL in 2010 NFL draft...he's on the Raiders.

It's like finding that lost sock in the back of your drawer from ten years ago.

I've never seen teams lay down and quit when they lose their starting QB like the Cowboys. It's astounding how hapless they look from top to bottom once the starting QB is out of the lineup.

Meanwhile teams with comparable QB situations somehow figure out how to remain competitive.

A few years ago when McCarthy was still in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers got hurt early in the season and Brett Hundley had to finish out the season. Hundley didn't play well but he at least looked like he understood the game of football and generally did enough to keep the Packers in games. Whereas here in Dallas, when QBs not named Dak or Romo are forced into the lineup everything falls completely part.

Raiders game...

Witten just caught a pass (7th of the year) for 4 yards.

No surprise there, but announcers saying that Derek Carr expressed shock about how much shit-talking Witten does.

Do you ever remember anything about Witten shit-talking?

For example, Burrow completed 35 of 47 passes for 406 yards, the first 400-yard passing game of his pro career. Despite losing three starting offensive linemen to injury during the game(!), he also threw three touchdowns and rushed for another. Some rise to the occasion, some don't.

@Rev

Tampa Bay's RB Jones with another up-and-over, got spun mid-air for a TD.
