The whole Earl Thomas thing is a trope but I'd bring him in in the hopes that he actually would alienate half the defense, maybe force a few of them to find their balls after he punches them in the face or something.

This is a historically bad defense with absolutely no obvious building blocks moving forward so why not throw shit at the wall?

He might at least manage to piss some guys off so they stop playing like pussies. I know one safety isn't going to suddenly male this defense good. But he would make it better. And we have to do everything we can to get better.
