According to one of the Ranger beat writers the Rangers don't have Tanaka ranked as high as Yu.

Translation: Ranger fans don't expect the Rangers to spend for him.
From what I've heard he shouldn't be ranked as high as Yu, he's not as good as him.

He isn't. Just feels like we are being told something.

I really thought we were gonna bring it home after Papi hit that HR.

Oh well, time to take them down in St. Louis.

Believe it or not I am probably rooting for Boston. As much as I hate them I probably hate the Cardinals even more. It's like Sophie's Choice in reverse for me though.

And the Red Sox at least give the bonus of pissing off Yankees fans, which is nice.

I can't wait to see Ortiz bumbling and stumbling at first base the next few games.

Sonofabitch....

An outstanding play from Pedroia and a not so great from Salty to 3rd.

The obstruction call was weak.

Watching it again, that is a bullshit obstruction call.

Watch closely, and you'll see Craig is looking backwards when he first begins to run towards home plate. He turns his head and finds Middlebrooks on the ground and pulls up and begins to stumble before he ever runs into Middlebrooks. Hell, he never even makes contact with Middelbrooks' legs which is what drew the attention.

That non-ahtletic bastid was going to stumble no matter what and the umps gave his gimpy ass a gift.

Salty should've never thrown to 3rd there. And does it have to be on purpose to be called obstruction? There's nothing Middlebrooks could do there, but he still obstructed Craig from scoring.

And Middlebrooks should've caught that throw or blocked it. That's the game right there, do all you can do to block that ball.

"OBSTRUCTION is the act of a fielder who, while not in possession of the ball and not in the act of fielding the ball, impedes the progress of any runner. *
If a fielder is about to receive a thrown ball, and if the ball is in flight, directly toward, and near enough to the fielder, so he must occupy his position to receive the ball, he may be considered "in the act of fielding a ball." It is entirely up to the judgment of the umpire, as to whether a fielder is in the act of fielding a ball. After a fielder has made an attempt to field a ball, and has missed, he can no longer be in the "act of fielding" the ball. For example: an infielder dives at a ground ball and the ball passes him and he continues to lie on the ground and delays the progress of the runner, he very likely has obstructed the runner."*

Jon Lester is going to win the WS MVP if the Red Sox go on to win this series.

He's been outstanding.

He has been, but what about Ortiz? No chance Ortiz doesn't get a piece of that MVP. First, they have to win it though.

Yea, I thought about it after I'd posted this.

Ortiz is 11 of 15.......eleven of fifteen!

That is insane, especially for a world series.

Tonight, we become champions.

I'd be really happy for Napoli after having to endure that grueling 2011 WS loss. Guy is a stud.

Very few moments in my life as a sports fan have I ever truly felt heart broken on something that wasn't related to the Cowboys.

One was when the Mavs lost the Finals to the Heat, and the other was when Grady Little blew it for the Red Sox in the 2003 ALCS by leaving Pedro in for too long. After that grueling loss, I thought for sure I'd never see the Red Sox ever get to a World Series, and I certainly did not think I'd watch them win 3 over the next 10 years.

Watching your team become champion is the best feeling in the world, and it's what makes those heart breaks worth dealing with.

This feels good. :towel
