Hate to agree with Smitty but he's right. Our offense can't be based solely around throwing to Dez and nobody else. Harris is a short guy who shows some elusiveness in the open field and using him on WR screens and similar makes perfect sense.
Who has ever said or even implied that? And I haven't seen anybody say Harris isn't elusive. Only that Dez isn't as bad as Schmitty would have people believe.

When did I ever say he was bad?

I just said overrated at RAC, which I then admitted was too broad and amended to "on screens and hitches". Our offense treats him like he's a Terrell Owens who is gonna break those, and I think our estimation of him in that regard is far too high. He's much better at other things.

I didn't say he's bad at screens, but I don't think he's a great playmaker in them either.

Wasn't replying to you, as I didn't read that far back in the thread. Superpunk seems to be implying that Harris shouldn't get any touches and everything should go to Dez.

Nevermind, I should know better than to step into a thread where the tone has already become shrill. When people are dramatically overemphasizing their points their actual positions become lost.

You should apologize for not knowing how to read. I never suggested what you claimed.

Grow up. I'm not contractually obligated to read an entire schmittied thread before responding to the comments on the current thread.

By the time I got here it was:

Schmitty: WE SHOULD USE HARRIS MORE ON SCREENS!!!

TooLazyToGetAnAvatar: NO! NEVER!

Since the idea of using Harris more on screens seems reasonable considering we don't spread the ball well and can't make other teams pay for blitzing us and don't have a running back who is good on screens, I agreed.

Did you fall down, paps?
It would have been preferable. I get a little frustrated when Dallas wins a game and the tone of the posters becomes totally antagonistic over what a shit win it was. Seem to me that is the time to feel good about the team at least for a little while. It is as though some can't deal with a win and a loss would have been preferable. Maybe it's just me.

Again, I never said that, or anything even approaching that. You decided to single me out because I guess you have a boner for me, but you appear to have directed it at the wrong person. Actually I don't think anyone in this thread said that. You might just be retarded.

I think we have multiple RBs who are great on screens. We actually should be getting our best screen RB back in Dunbar this week. The bigger problem is that we just seem to block screens poorly. The timing is never good. Our guys either block too early (on WR screens) and we get a pass interference, or they don't block early enough and the play is blown up.

I like beating the blitz with quick passes to Williams and Beasley more then anything. I wouldn't mind using Harris more on offense but I don't know he brings us dramatically more on offense over the other guys if it somehow costs us with what he is doing on special teams. It's not just his special teams returns but also his coverage on special teams has been elite. He is the most complete special teams player I have seen in Dallas in well over a decade.
