I am angered far more by Taco Charlton than I am Bobby Carpenter.

The amount of anger is what talent they passed on. Some drafts are weaker than others.

We passed on Watt for Charlton. That is undeniable.

When Carpenter was picked this is what was available:

Antonio Cromartie, Tamba Hali, Laurence Maroney and especially Manny Lawson.

I don't think Lawson was all that. Hali would have been a better choice.

But that draft has proven to be full of busts. It all comes down to team fit sometimes.

Passing on Watt was definitely a big mistake. Hali would've been nice in Carpenter's draft so that's something.

Not comparable in my opinion. Watt's career arc is far better. Barring injury, he's got a better career in front of him.

Demeco Ryans was the next LBer off the board in that draft and he had a pretty damn good career.

I think the contract bargaining process actually puts Dak in the hot seat. There will be a lot of scrutiny to see if he belongs in the upper tier QB group that he is holding out signing because his agent has made demands and essentially said Dak is already there. Even the members on this site are divided over this issue so it will be a topic the the media experts will hash about throughout the season.

MM is too new, and picking Jerry Jones would imply the guy can actually effect any positive influence.
