I am hyped for him, but I bet nothing materializes. It is going to be rough on rookies this year.

Yeah, it’s real restrictive for even the league minimum players to make more than I have in ten years. It'd be relatively easy to keep players in a decentralized bubble in each team's respective city. You'd basically just have to rent out a hotel campus for the entire season in each city, don't let anybody else stay there and have the hometown players and visiting teams live out of there for the entire season. You'd need to have a dedicated team plane/buses to transport them to practices, games, etc.
Continuously test the players, coaches and support staff, to include the pilots, bus drivers, hotel workers, etc.
You could even let a limited number of family members "live" with them in the hometown hotels to some extent if they agree to be tested continuously.
The players and the NFLPA would throw a hissy fit over it I'm sure because it would be very isolating/restrictive, and for that reason I think it's ultimately unrealistic, but it could be done if the appetite is there and to be honest, if you're being paid millions the appetite should be there.
I'd be more than happy to tell my wife, family and friends to fuck off for 5 months while I make anywhere from $1-20 million.
have you seen how opposed people are to simply wearing a mask for the minimum effort of going to the store? I think the word easy is a slight oversimplification. That would be pretty difficult w 53 20/30 somethings in a bubble. Lord of the Flies comes to mind. It'd be relatively easy to keep players in a decentralized bubble in each team's respective city. Yes we can't be too careful, it's not like even normal people have a 99.5% chance of survival and these are young guys in peak physical conditionhave you seen how opposed people are to simply wearing a mask for the minimum effort of going to the store? Yes and we will see some slob vet because they know how to carry out assignments.
I’m just saying the youngsters ain’t goin for no lockdown in a bubbleYes we can't be too careful, it's not like even normal people have a 99.5% chance of survival and these are young guys in peak physical condition
Not being able to see basically anybody close to you for 5 months and not being able to go anywhere is quite restrictive, I'd be fine with it in a risk/reward analysis obviously, but I'm sure players who are already rich wouldn't be.Yeah, it’s real restrictive for even the league minimum players to make more than I have in ten years.
As far as things to be concerned about with this team, this one is waaaaaaay down the list.So all the rookies are supposed to report today but we only have three signed?
Bang up job, Stephen.

I'm really sweating this one out, can't wait to hear Fisher's next update to see what happens in this topsy-turvy world we live in.
Even more impressive that he can haggle with a fourth rounder.
Cue Snickers commercial.I'm really sweating this one out, can't wait to hear Fisher's next update to see what happens in this topsy-turvy world we live in.
Robinson agreed a couple of hours ago. Fisher did get some traffic though. How are draft pick signings even news anymore. Pay is slotted...basically take it or leave it.
I still don't understand why they feel the need to wait until the last minute to get these things done. The contract could have been negotiated long ago via video conference calls. So all the rookies are supposed to report today but we only have three signed?
