I'm sorry but its a freaking statue, we have books, movies, TV shows to learn about & preserve history. I bet most people haven't even seen 99.9% of the statues in the country and the ones that did probably never read any plaques/sigs describing what it is. The one referenced by King supposedly had a slave and an Indian at the feet of Lincoln. I'm pretty damn positive many folks here would get riled up if there where statues of "white people" at the feet of a slave or MLK, etcIt's not erasing history. That's impossible. But it's sure as hell trying to hide it and make people forget about it.
A noose also constricts when you pull on it, this looks more like a bowline or figure8 knot which lets you pull on it without it tghtening around your handHas anyone bothered notating that this “noose,” was so small it couldn’t have possibly fit a human neck?
What is a “noose,” anyway? It’s a rope tied with a knot to make a loop, with the intended use being to hang someone.
There is no way this sized knot/loop could hang someone. Ergo it is simply a knot.
gawd damn, we need people to get back to work. The virus and all the free time is like pouring gasoline on a fireMy family has lived in Madison, a pinko town if there ever was one, since 1976. This is what happens when your mayor is a former student radical from the 1960s.
lol at that ender
Spot fucking on.![]()
Weeder needs to knock it off with this racist shit.
The problem isn't the statues. The problem is that slippery slope we just dove out onto.I'm sorry but its a freaking statue, we have books, movies, TV shows to learn about & preserve history. Put a historical marker there describing what was there, the reason why it was removed, etc, etc and move on down the road to bigger issues
Ok, so what's your plan amigo? The problem isn't the statues. The problem is that slippery slope we just dove out onto.
Just enforce the law and stop letting them tear down, desecrate, or damage public and private property. That goes for shops, buildings, churches, statues, etc.Ok, so what's your plan amigo?
that's hard to do when people in authority are rooting for the vandals and excusing their crimesJust enforce the law and stop letting them tear down, desecrate, or damage public and private property.
No doubt. And, those idiots need to be voted out of office.that's hard to do when people in authority are rooting for the vandals and excusing their crimes
