Dead serious.

Yuge rallies. No masks.

Thin the herd.
I mean I'm guessing if anything is thinning the herd with this vastly overrated virus at this point it would be the overwhelming amount of protests... If you really think rallies are going to kill off people you don't like than you'll lose far more on the side you do like.

hmmm. I may owe Trump an apology. he's clearly doing something provocative/suspicious with his device, and that shove was hardly violent.

thats really strange, what the heck is he doing?

And yet, nobody crosses the line
What are you talking about? Why would I cross the line to the left? They are delusional nut jobs. I'll stick with the mean orange badman.

If all the commies don't want Donald Trump they are free to support Rand Paul and I'll gladly cross the line with them. You'd get a massive reduction in the war on drugs, you'd get meaningful justice system reform, you'd get a massive elimination in the federal budget on overseas wars and nation building, etc.

Here's my hand, shake it or STFU.

Yep, I'm right on board with you. Create a legit third party with a candidate like Rand Paul and maybe now is the time where America would vote for them. You've got two sides that don't seem desirable to a lot of people. Unfortunately it will have to take a real movement with real goals to ever accomplish something like this.

No, I was not talking about joining the democrat lunatic fringe. The line I was talking about was someone other than Mitt Romney speaking up when he does something asinine.

There are numerous GOP leaders that were once critical of Trump in the past but now have turned into supreme ass kissers. Lindsay Graham is a prime example.

Well, I actually think there's been an unprecedented break in ranks from the Republicans -- centrist Republicans, mostly -- who have kinda been on Team Never Trump. James Comey was a lifelong New York Republican until Trump was elected, there is a whole mess of Republicans like that. McCain was another.

I think regarding the rest it's politics as usual. He's the President. Like it or not he's the current leader of your party and your best chance to push through legislation that you want. Same as the Democrats, its' not like AOC and Obama or AOC and Clinton agree about that much, but they'd be allies who play nice during a Clinton or Obama Presidency. So I'm not entirely sure what your point is?

He says crazy things and people roll their eyes. Everyone knows this. I don't expect Lindsay Graham to come out and trash him and try to cost him an election against Doddering Joe Biden.

At the end of the day, however, Trump has appointed two solid conservative justices - one a nice Reagan-era conservative in Gorsuch and another a nice Bush-era conservative in Kavanaugh (who I expect to be continually rather right-center like Kennedy before him, actually, and I suspect that was a behind-the-scenes deal made by Kennedy: "I'll retire on your watch but you are not gonna appoint a partisan like Amy Barrett"). 'Course the left got so frothing about all of that, you'd think Kavanaugh was a fringe judge instead of the relative mainstreamer he is. He's also well-reshaped the federal judiciary thanks to McConnell. For as centrist as you are yourself, in the face of this idiotic left revolt going on right now, you should probably be thankful he has appointed a lot of right-leaning judges. Right-leaning judges TEND to not be reactionary, they TEND not to overturn precedent, and they tend to make change slow and incremental, which is much better than radical revolutions.

Trump has rolled back a lot of bloated regulation. He instituted substantial tax cuts, which are good for the economy. He enacted SOME amount of justice reform. He has cut back on our overseas intervening, which was a much needed respite from the Bush and Obama and projected Clinton-second-go-'round years. He ESSENTIALLY repealed Obamacare, though that disaster of a bill was simply defunded, making in toothless, and it's still a big mess, but at least it no longer mandates people buy health insurance via corporatism. And he's actually changed up our rhetoric in how we deal with "enemies," like North Korea. The hard line has never worked, absent, say, invading them, so I don't see the harm in his softer approach.

What are the failures, exactly?

People don't like him and think he's a racist. He's failed to bring the country together. Yes -- he is a divider. No question about it. I wish we could have someone like Ron Paul in office doing all those above things, without being so brazen, but we don't. Oh, and they'd call Ron Paul a Nazi too, so.... some of it is on Trump, some of it isn't.

His immigration policy actually matches the Democratic policy of the 90's - allow immigration but make it be done legally. But Democrats have someone managed to hammer him on this as if it is logical, sane, or even remotely possible to allow completely open borders or stop enforcing immigration laws. But his PR mishandling of this is a black eye, granted.

The final ignominy about the Trump administration has basically revolved around it's own incompetence in "setting up shop," to govern, and hand in hand with that has come the accusations of "being in bed with Russia/collusion," stemming (1) Primarily from fabricated Democratic intel trying to catch Trump in a scandal that did not exist, but also (2) Trump's own failings on knowing how to be a politician and who to talk to and what to say and who to trust, which led to numerous blunders that ended up getting him impeached. Be clear - the impeachment was a complete sham mostly fabricated by Democrats, but Trump handed them the noose to hang him with because he is a petty, ignorant man who doesn't know how to make allies instead of enemies.

All of this has led to a black eye for the country both domestically and internationally.

But as far as being divided, the Democrats have to take just as much blame on that as Trump. They could have ceded that Russia-gate was a non-scandal long ago and committed to working with him. He's not dogmatically inclined like some Republicans and absolutely would have jumped at the chance to pass more infrastructure bills, criminal reform bills, healthcare reformation that included a clean repeal of Obamacare, but none of those assholes wanted to hand him a victory (probably partially knowing the victory lap he would take). These are all things the left CLAIMS to want.

If you have a better suggestion, feel free to name it. But he's gotten a lot done while being attacked from all sides way more than Obama ever was.

I don't see an option. Biden is a stooge, and the Democrats are caught in an endless pandering cycle, racing to see who can be more extreme. What exactly is extreme about the Republican platform right now? Tax cuts? Low spending? Oh my, how radical. Meanwhile we have the left asking for elimination of police, reparations, open borders, completely unaffordable $20 trillion dollar energy deals, nationalized health care, nationalization of certain other industries, and wealth redistribution on everything else, and the elimination of any idea humanity has ever had about traditional gender and gender roles.

They are lunatics, dude.

Please, tell me what is so bad about Trump in the face of all this. He's a douchebag, yes. Got it.

Maybe Graham could see what Trumph was doing for the country and was smart enough to get on board.

Excellent post. I'm going to plagiarize some of it when I argue with people.

I wonder how many black people are strategically placed behind him.
