Why test people who don't have symptoms is my guess. Cmon I mean I'm not going to get tested because I'm not sick...
Couldn't you could be asymptomatic and infect those you care about (& those you donate are about)? I'd like to be tested as well as my circle of people I come into contact with for this reason. Those in my circle also work out of their house and have had little contact with others outside of shopping trips and a few errands (while wearing a mask) so knowing we dont have it would allow us to at least hang out with each other. I haven't seen my girlfriend for 6 weeks.
She has a point that eventually the test loses its value the more exposed we are to others who may have infected us post-test but I still think it would be great if testing was fast, cheap and easy.
I wish there was a small home device that could test you (via saliva) before you left your house everyday that also checked your temp and perhaps a few other vitals but I'm not in the field of expertise so what I am proposing is probably very difficult otherwise it would already be done and available to the masses
