People are getting desperate for interaction, at least here in our town.
We have a nice sized room in our establishment set up for our two children(no school/no childcare available right now), the word must be out that our kids come here 3-4 days a week when my mom can’t watch them.
More and more parents are bringing their children to “hangout” with my kids.
There’s a mother here right now that didn’t ask, just took her kid into the play room and is having her kid play with my kids.
Strange, yet understandable. Children are probably wondering why they can’t see their friends at daycare or school.
Fuck it, it’s super weird, but it doesn’t bother me as much as it’s just kinda creepy and desperate.
That, and out of the blue a woman that friended me on Facebook through just knowing me casually, talking when she comes in here and there, she decided today that I’m an interesting person, because she’s been messaging me on Facebook messenger like crazy all day today. I didn’t ask for this, and I haven’t even remotely flirted with her.
Pretty sure she wants the D.

It was difficult having to explain to my grandkids why we have to wear masks in stores and the schools are closed. Luckily, they've completely comprehended that the dirty Chi-Coms did this, and the authoritarian Dems went full Castro with their newfound lockdown powers, and will hate them forever.

I just hope this whole thing is over soon. I think most people are just ready to get back to normal life and really haven't seen much devastation outside New York.

Well, I'm in out of the camp of one of those people "who doesn't know anyone, who even knows anyone" who contracted CV.
Buddy of mine from HS died from it as of Sunday night. Was a truck driver who delivered bulk groceries across the south for several major grocery stores. Died in TX.
Pretty fucked up.

What’s crazy is, if it’s taking people who have an underlying issue, anyone could be one of those people who just happens not to know they have an underlying illness or health issue and they wind up dead from this.

I’m tempted to write out my thoughts right now.
Im going to real quick.
What of the following is likely?
1. This has been a totally over blown, self inflicted disaster, and an unforced error.
2. This is an understated monster that when it’s fully understood can change our existence.
3. Life is going to go back to normal rather seamlessly. When we look back in 12 months, nobody is going to be worried about this going forward. It was scary before it was understood. It’s less lethal than first thought.
4. Welcome to our new yearly schedule. Corona is something that will turn our country and mostly the world into an 8 month economy. Saving money has never been more crucial. You have to live off of your own means for 4 months. Complete lockdowns are mandatory for all, not just some. You don’t leave your house, government food delivery services deliver your goods during this time. You go outside your house, you become a threat against the United States on the level of a terrorist.
I had a hell of a time spelling “terrorist” right now. I did it for you guys.
Anyway, life as we know it could be changing into something none of us could have imagined 3 months ago. This, when you stop and think about it, this shit happens in movies, it doesn’t happen in real life, yet here we are.
The government, right or wrong, the jury is still out, looked at its people and said “Stop.”, and we listened. They own us now. They can tell us anything they want and we’ll mostly go along to get along.
