I love Lamb but Gallup is here 2 more years at least. Cooper just got his big deal. Just hard to fit a third stud in there just as your third WR.

Third WR is essentially a starter especially now that Garrett and Witten are gone. McCarthy always ran lots of WRs. And then there is Dak - who has thrived with good WR targets and struggled without.

This is a way better pick than forcing the next best DB for sure. And I liked the idea of Chaisson but frankly I think this player is just flat out better.

And he’s probably better than Gallup relatively quickly too.

I think this is kind of a home run. We got the 12th best player in the draft according to Mel, certainly a borderline top 10 player, significantly over talent drafted our slotted position, stopped him from going to the Eagles, and really filled our own last remaining need on offense that could have prevented us from being electric (as long as McGovern pans out).

I don't think Lamb would have made it to their pick. But it's a moot point now.

Probably true. We have 3 stud WR's. Not many teams have the CB's to cover all of them.

I mean we needed a WR. And frankly we will run mostly 3 receiver sets on offense so he is a starter. So yeah maybe not our biggest need but it was definitely a need. And by far the BPA. I applaud the Cowboys for not forcing a need there.
