Damn it, phil...wtf?
I got you, ya filthy pervert. Thanks for nothing. We were three posts from getting SChmitty to post his bewbies.
Yeah, no. There are countries doing a much better job than we are. There is a litany of poor decisions and lack of action on the part of the President. Only half of Trump voters even think Coronavirus is a serious problem (that's an actual stat). Perhaps that's different after Trump's most recent remarks where he actually had a Presidential address. But again, that was late, late, late and after lying and minimizing for a month.Every country in the world -- especially every western country -- is experiencing a disaster with this. Is every leader a Trumpian idiot? I don't see how anyone can honestly claim things would be much different if Obama or Hillary or anyone else on the left were president right now. Especially since we have their tweets to go back and look at. Biden, Bernie, DeBlasio, Pelosi, all of them have tweets and comments that look terrible in retrospect.
This is simply a bigger problem than anyone was equipped to handle. This is not a perfect world and sometimes bad things happen that aren't the fault of the government.
He isn't taking business from them. But, tbh, I hate the government interfering in the private market period. So, I'm not a fan, but since it is for national security I don't hate it.Are you in favor of govt taking liberties away from 3M? A govt power introduced during Korean War that hasn't been given back.
I wonder how much money 3M will be paid per-mask and if it's higher/lower than per-mask price other countries willing to pay.
Well as long as the tests are quality tests. You don't want false negatives. That's a disaster. Of course, our current tests have 30% false negative rate. Awesome-sauce.@lostxn
Testing has been problematic from the start with this virus. There wasn’t any clear and systematic way to test people at the onset and it’s still a selective process to my knowledge. There are limited tests in the medical community and they are very selective as to who can be tested.
My Grandson is working on this aspect at the Duke University labs but the FDA guidelines are very restrictive and will not relent on the process and as a result testing is still problematic for the medical community. It would seem to me that any system that will test should be utilized because to my knowledge there are no downsides to testing.
:oops:Just found out my mom (who is a nurse) will be travelling around the country helping out in clinics. This scares the living hell out of me. She is 70.
We know South Korea and Taiwan have done a good job, because they've been through this lately. Which large Western country has done so much better? Maybe Germany. But Italy and France are run by left people and they've had a disaster. Italy partly because they had to be PC and not "discriminate" against Chinese people. Truth.Yeah, no. There are countries doing a much better job than we are. There is a litany of poor decisions and lack of action on the part of the President.
You have to be kidding me. What about Cuomo and DeBlasio, how "science based" were they when they recommended getting out into the street barely a month ago? What about all the tweets about how they wouldn't have shut down traffic from China? Are you seriously going to ignore those?Do I think Hillary would have been doing more for this crisis? Of course. She may have ethical issues but she's isn't stupid and her positions are generally science-based. Obama would have been all over this.
Said it about 100 times, but I'm nowhere near slavishly devoted to him. I hate the pettiness and childishness he displays too often. But that doesn't mean he's to blame for a crisis that literally every other country is going through right now. To even claim so diminishes your arguments greatly. It gets to a point where I just wonder how slavishly devoted you are to your guy. He has lied and made factually false statements continuously on this subject and you guys come up with mealy-mouthed bullshit about the government being a battleship that can't be turned and acts of God and whatever else.
Dude we're at war, wtf. 3M has sold out of every PAPR, mask and respirator they've ever made. Don't worry about them. Are you in favor of govt taking liberties away from 3M? A govt power introduced during Korean War that hasn't been given back.
I wonder how much money 3M will be paid per-mask and if it's higher/lower than per-mask price other countries willing to pay.
What little you know of me, do you think my mom would be the type of person that would listen to me telling her that? She is a badass, but that in and of itself scares the fuck out of me.
Yeah, jeez. Tell her she is not allowed to be involved in patient care (if she'll listen to you, sounds like she might be a badass). There are plenty of things RNs can do not involving swabbing people.
Christ, just tell me where I can buy one. I felt like the only one without a mask in the supermarket this morning.
I’d be worried, too.Just found out my mom (who is a nurse) will be travelling around the country helping out in clinics. This scares the living hell out of me. She is 70.
Let's just crystallize the issue. How is it OK to lie and get things factually wrong when talking to the American people about shit this serious? Explain that. Because you gloss over that issue repeatedly. He's the President. The buck stops with him. Explain away the lying and the mistakes. Let's hear it. Come on.Said it about 100 times, but I'm nowhere near slavishly devoted to him. I hate the pettiness and childishness he displays too often. But that doesn't mean he's to blame for a crisis that literally every other country is going through right now. To even claim so diminishes your arguments greatly.
